For those who missed out Channel-Ai articles this week……. and it’s all by Rinoa. ^_^
First, a biographical info about Hamasaki Ayumi, the talented singer-songwriter-idol-diva living-legend (Yes, I love Ayu too -_^) . It’s a long, meticulously written and informative article that details Ayu’s life from her early days before her debut, through her rise-to-fame, up till the present day… finished with nice conclusion-summary. Also noted are the many different phases of Ayu’s JPop career. Good read for both long time fans AND for those unfamiliar with Ayu.
Next is a review about 2005 Shimatani Hitomi’s single Garnet Moon / Inori (I thought it was Garnet CROW at first glance ^o^), where not only the sound, style and feature of the single is discussed, but also the promotional strategy behind this single as deployed by avex. Lastly, review of another Shimatani Hitomi single Angelus / Z! Z! Z! Zip! Zap! Zipangu!. Anime fans should be familiar with ‘Angelus’, one of the many OP theme for the hit manga/anime Inuyasha, in which it was noted also that this anime-pop tie-in was responsible for boosting Shimatani’s popularity and recognition. (Especially to anime and manga otakus, I might add. ^_^)
For me, I find the “Z!” title difficult to introduce to my friends VERBALLY. ^_^
