They might as well call it Nazipedia now.

Yes, this concerns J-Pop, not to mention every other kind of music and how it is represented on one of the biggest websites in the country.

Guys. It’s JUST A WIKI.
Furthermore, I admittedly haven’t read much into this particular issue because it’s annoying to see people cussing and arguing like kids in a TALK PAGE ON A WIKI, but they’re just trying to protect their asses. If you don’t like it, you can start a new Wikipedia segment that does whatever you want it to.

But aren’t they already protected by the fair use clause?

They don’t see it that way. They think that because they’re an international community (even though they are based in the USA) that they are above the law.

It seems more like they’re trying to conform to the laws of another stricter country… which would be like me saying: I live in the UK but I’m only going to have one child (or possibly twins) because that’s the way it is in China.

Good observation. Makes me wonder exactly what was behind their little policy change.

Reading this from office made my blood pump… for years we have been having this problem and those guys there STILL continue to do it… this is exactly the reason why i refused to participate in any of the revert wars over there… but i’m sure you know, Cj, you are not the first victim of this matter… many have left Wikipedia because of this sort of thing…
