Highly recommended reading. Rinoa of Channel-Ai is back, and covers the new Ayu digital release by considering the marketing of Ayu’s recent albums. It’s an incredible act of erudition, not only providing insights on how Ayu’s media machine works but also the mistakes they made and how they learned from those mistakes for “Together When…” From there, Rinoa goes on to consider the single itself, again taking into account the context with the depth that Channel-Ai has become known for.
The one thing I should note - and this is as a fan of Rinoa’s writing - is that her style seems less confident than usual, and towards the end it actually read more like an academic paper than her usual prose allows. Nevertheless, the points she makes and the way she makes it is impeccable overall. Definitely give this your attention.
