MM Brain Scan ‘07: Kamei Eri

Ines shares with us her J-pop merchandise of 2007, and whilst the collection is relatively small compared to some, I’d love to have most of it myself. It’s nice to know Ines is a SweetS fan, although in truth I already knew lol. Mikitty’s baseball t-shirt is something I’d wear and anything Kamei-chan is a winner in my book. As for the card that came with Mikan…Scary!

The second entry is a personal post about Ines’s love for Eri Kamei. Now, I’m always going to agree with a post like this one, where one of my favourite Idols in the history of Idols is being mightily praised. I loved how Ines picked up on Kamei’s confident performance on ‘Morning Coffee’ at Rika’s grad concert, as I was thinking the same. If Tsunku wanted to form a new unit based on the quality of vocals, Eri would be drafted in I’m sure. Shes simply a great utility voice now – it goes with anything. And whilst her tonality sounds bizarre at times, it’s deceptively strong. The write-up is obviously tinted with bias, but it’s never aggresive or pushy with it, and so even if you dont agree fully, you’ll appreciate the cause of action led by Ines here. And as far as observations go, I’d say they’re pretty accurate in terms of idol growth, and they can be applied to almost all Idols I’d say. Recommended reading.
