[Blogs] American Wota: Henkka and Celestia answer the call
The H!P Kids Are Alright 2: Henkka
The H!P Kids Are Alright 3: Celestia
Henkka’s the first chosen blogger of the month to continue from where Ray left off a few days ago: in regards to the importance of the Hello! Project Kids within the H!P franchise. The write-up is good at taking the middle ground, mostly, so Henkka’s views might seem a little too easy or convenient for some. However, it’s a crowd pleaser on many levels, what with the read suggesting that Berryz Koubou and C-ute should share that supposed higher ground with Momusu, rather than demoting the flagship itself. Whilst Henkka doesn’t consider Momusu to be interesting enough on the personality front - generally speaking - he sees a great deal of potential with Berryz and C-ute, provided they get the right opportunities. A good read that had me nodding along nicely.
The opening segment to Celetsia’s post is an interesting one. The point about male idols having a longer shelf-life than female idols may sound crude, but there’s certainly some truth in that. It’s never really explored, but I like how it’s brought up regardless. Kudos. Celestia thinks H!P should use Johnny’s as an example of how to market and manage acts to last the test of time, to adapt with change, or indeed lead the change. Things which Momusu seemed to do as second nature in the past. The post seems to be pro ‘recycling’ in terms of the talent, and actually considers Berryz and C-ute to be at a disadvantage for building on the kazoku they started with. Again, recommended reading, especially when you tie it in with Ray and Henkka’s stabs at the debate.

when u have kids u have a responsibilty to those kids and in a sense H!P has kids. They’re like oficial guardians. And it’s generally thought that if u don’t have to move kids around (e.g. from school to school) so much then that’s for the best. A stable background (or lack thereof) is an important factor in growing up.
In a sense you could say the people who graduate from Morning Musume do so because at that point they are grown up enough to do so
