Recommended reading. Samantha gives a lovingly detailed, well thought-out look at the last of the major AKB48 units. Units? Team. Team B. Anyway, I appreciate how she explains the history of the team, dispelling some myths before profiling each of the girls. I honestly couldn’t read all the profiles, though I did so for every idol that caught my particular fancy. Another Aika to drool over? And Haruka. And a few others.
It’s a little overwhelming, but enjoyably so. I feel much more willing to sink into these details than I did, say, two or three months ago. Who knows? By the end of 2008 I may be able to name all the members, thanks to the efforts of Samantha, Cat and others.
