Berryz工房 “Dschinghis Khan”
Cooking with Arashi…or perhaps just staring at pictures…
Morningberryz continues to be something of a great advert for older j-pop names, and this time he’s profiling ‘Qlair’ – a early 90’s idol group. I actually find the linked songs rather charming, as they sound like something the ‘you’re under arrest’ anime would’ve used lovingly. The whole feel of the group breed’s some sort of retro-beast, so it’s not for everyone.
The second post has MB revealing the news that Arashi have a new album in the pipeline. I’m looking forward to this one, a lot.
The third post is a long, oh so long review of BK’s latest single. Whilst he’s not sure of it at first – was anyone? – MB comes to like ‘Dschinghis Khan’ quite a lot after repeated listens. He admits that the PV plays a big part in the overall appreciation of the song, and I kind of agree with him there. The whole post might be too tiresome for some I have to say, but BK fans wanting more BK fixes will find a lot of informative detail from MB, along with a good fan-perspective. These being MB’s main strengths. Recommended reading if you can dedicate yourself to it.
The final post has MB going into eyecandy overdrive with Arashi’s cookbook which accompanied the 2008 calendar as a set. MatsuJun gets my vote here, of course, but the whole gang are all worthy of getting excited about here. I’ll leave it at that, otherwise I’ll simply fangirl into oblivion, which is a door you dont want to go down, even if I do!
