[Blogs] Yoshimi profiling past Momusu

Musume Overview: Introduction & Nakazawa Yuko Edition
Musume Overview: Ishiguro Aya Edition

Yoshimi decides to start profiling past Momusu members, and after the success – I’d say – of her ramblings on the current line-up, these are going to be pretty hot property on my ‘to read list‘. So we begin with the first generation, and as Yoshimi herself highlights, this should be good publicity for some of the members in question.

Yuko’s up first, and the writing is certainly more romantic than some may be familiar with, at least recently. It’s certainly welcome, especially when dealing with the baggage of H!P nostalgia et al. The talks about Yuko’s crawling pace solo career and Momusu’s change from a singing group to an Idol group should be noted. The latter certainly has me brainstorming a related blogpost, although its one I’m not content with pursuing. Generally speaking, the read is easygoing and deceptively light around the edges.

The second entry talks about Ishiguro Aya, and the focus is mostly on her singing voice. Its certainly an interesting starting point into Ishi, and Yoshimi’s love for the girl certainly breeds a thoughtful write-up. I must address Yoshimi’s worries about Ishi being branded as boring though. I think it all stems back to the whole Momusu turning into an Idol group discussion, and the fact that Ishi opted out of the game before the media circus started up in lights. Anyway, I enjoyed hearing about Ishi’s life away from being a celebrity of sorts, and the E.T thing gets a mention too. XD. Recommended Reading.
