Recommended reading. SB responds to a recent remark (from Marc of Marc’s JPOP Blog) about ikimono gakari wanting to become more like HY, disagreeing rather openly with this idea. He goes on to give a brief overview of HY’s new album, HeartY, noting the songs he enjoyed, and then jumps back to the topic of HY vs. ikimono gakari. He expands his argument against Marc’s comment some more, and it’s good to see that he still enjoys the HY album despite his initial strong reaction to an idea he didn’t agree with.
SB’s writing is growing by leaps and bounds–he speaks very plainly about his opinions, and isn’t afraid to be critical of what he’s seeing or hearing. I’ve said it before, but this is a blog to keep an eye on, as I fully expect SB to continue this trend of thorough, enjoyable reviews.
