REVIEW: SCANDAL “Space Ranger”, “Koi Moyo” and “Kagerou” singles

If you still haven’t gotten a chance to get acquainted with the all-girl rock quartet of awesomeness better known as SCANDAL, now is definitely a good time to do so as CJ does both an excellent job at unveiling their history thus far and also solid and to-the-point reviews of all their three singles. I can’t help but feel excited for these girls and like CJ, I can hardly wait for their first full-length release. Recommended reading.

And hey, I just noticed this now while browsing their MySpace: SCANDAL will be featured on tomorrow’s episode of Music Japan, performing their debut single. This is pretty big news as I believe it to be SCANDAL’s first ever TV appearance (do correct me if I’m wrong), so be sure not to miss it!

  • SCANDAL is an exceptional, though raw, talent. They can really play, and the 16-year-old drummer is very solid. They look and sound like seasoned pros. My only question … how the heck are they allowed to play in 21-over clubs? I’m not complaining.

  • CJ Marsicano says:

@Rad: Having played in a semi-pro cover band right out of high school, I can safely say that under-21 musicians can play in such places as they’re considered the entertainment and not the customers.

  • @CJ: That’s good news. It seems that much of the top talent coming forth lately is young, but there’s nothing wrong with that!
