[Blogs] AmerikaJinMusume gets song produced by avex composer
Mayonaka no Sayonara (Chelsea in & Out of Japan [AmerikaJinMusume])
AmerikaJinMusume becomes recording artist. . . (Chance Chance Boogie~)
Anyone remember AmerikaJinMusume? She became famous after posting several videos of herself dancing to H!P and avex tunes on YouTube, then later moving to Japan for modeling and even appearing on a recent episode of Haromoni@. Well, according to her blog, she’s now progressed to being a recording artist, too; her song, Mayonaka no Sayonara, was composed by Harada Ken who has also composed for avex artists like Ayumi Hamasaki and BoA.
Max from Chance Chance Boogie finds the sample of the song sort of catchy and likes her voice. He gives her a thumbs up and looks forward to more good things from her… which is weird; whatever happened to everyone hating her guts and being jealous because Morning Musume got to see her face? I guess I’m a little behind on the times!
Who knows if this song is even getting released or anything, and to be honest, her becoming the next Leah Dizon seems like a pretty far-fetched idea to me. Even so, don’t hit me for placing this under the “Pop Idols” category!

I never said I hated her D: I was glad that American fans were getting recognition. Everyone else hated her, but not me xD

While I probably won’t buy the single because I’m already so far behind on my other J-Pop obsessions, I do wish her luck and hope she does well.

I’ve no idea how much it would cost to have Ken Harada write and produce a song, but clearly someone is sponsoring Chelsea’s musical ambitions. Perhaps her agency think that an American singer performing in Japanese (who isn’t half-Japanese or quarter-Filipina, etc.) would be novel and exotic enough to have a chance of becoming a star. Perhaps Ken Harada himself sees potential in Chelsea and is prepared to invest some of his own time and money in her.
That said, the stylists who worked on the photos on Chelsea’s Myspace music page have managed to make her look like just another Japanese girl with blonde dyed hair…

Sounds kind of like a way lousier Tata Young. She sounds obviously western (much unlike Leah as of late) and her voice is hardly radio friendly.
No buys.

It seems that I was completely wrong.
I didn’t pay harada ken to write that song for me, he already had it composed and I liked it so he let me write something for it. No one payed for me to record that actually, I just made alot of friends in the industry and so met alot of people in the music buisiness.
