New Berryz Releases (Strawberrie)
Berryz Koubou have 2 new upcoming releases and the news is being reported around our blogsphere. Berryz Koubou’s 5th album has been announced and is due to be released in September. Their 4th album was great, so they’ve got a lot to live up to. However, seeing the upcoming title for their 18th single worries me in that regard… Why would a remixed version of Dschinghis Khan need to be released? Is Tsunku running out of ideas or something? Is it time for his vacation, and Berryz Koubou is the group who can take a little pounding?
I was hoping this 18th single was a joke, but it seems it’s already listed on CDJapan. Is it silly of me to keep on hoping that it’s just a really random (and horribly late) April fools joke?
A remix of a cover as a single is pretty f’ed up, however it sounds. Unless they start doing club 12″s. ….DUNDUN.

Is it really considered their “next single”??? After all, it is coming out just a few weeks after Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance. So I’m thinking it’s just a bonus release.
@CK: wiki.theppn.org isn’t giving it an official number, it’s only starred, so I highly doubt it’ll be considered a fully official BK single.
When I did this write-up, it was actually down on theppn as #18… Now that it’s only starred gives me some hope.
However, it’s a little weird ’cause when albums come out, it’s usually after 4 singles… Hmm… If the remix ends up on the album too (with it being just a special release and not a full out single), I’m gonna be a mightily disgruntled fan…
If so, it wouldn’t be the first time a Berryz album had a remix along with the original version…
