FREE FREE on new Konami music game (contemode LiveJournal community)
soundboz in the contemode LJ Community posted an interesting bit of news mentioning that Suzuki Ami joins Nakata Yasutaka (capsule)’s “FREE FREE” would be in a new Konami Music Game called “jubeat”. After only saying that the game is played using a 4×4 grid and giving a link to the official game site, I had to check it out.
The game is played like BeatMania except it ditches the keyboard-with-record controller for a midi pad style controller arranged as a 4×4 grid. From what I can gather, each of the “buttons” are OLED displays and hit them on beat as they illuminate. Check the tutorial on the official site to see what I mean.
Checking out the tracklist, it appears that Do As Infinity’s “Boukensha Tachi”, mihimaru GT’s “Kibun Jōjō”, and MINMI’s “sha na na” is also available for play!
(btw, FREE FREE and Boukensha Tachi are probably within my top 10 songs of all time)

I like how wikipedia says it “can be considered to be similar to Whac-A-Mole”
A certain admin might enjoy this game more than she thinks.
*wink wink*
