C-ute English (Bikkuri Project)
This has been in my post queue for so long, and I’m sorry it has been because it’s just so damn cute!
Maize and Celestia have posted an MC segment from C-ute’s latest tour DVD that includes the abovementioned members doing an entire segment in English. Well… they are attempting to do it in English,but the result is so much cuter than if it was grammatically correct!
The consensus is these segments are great! For Maize it brings back memories of Ayaka’s Surprise English Lessons. As for Celestia, she notices the superiority of C-ute’s stage costumes over the ones given to the less fortunate Berryz members. And she gives us a little preview of what to look forward to on the DVD.
But the star is the segment itself. Check it out, it is too funny!

Not to debate a technical point, but as far as I can tell, the English is grammatically correct, though there were a few parts I couldn’t parse (mainly Chisato’s “breakfast” bit), so those may have grammatical errors. It is true that the dialogue sounds artificial and forced (but it’s a comedic sketch, so that’s to be expected), with awkward pronunciation and intonation, but the grammar itself is spot-on.
