What’s in a Soloist? Pt1(5th & 6th MoMusu)

A lot of the 2009 predictions I have read include a graduation for Morning Musume.  Max has started a series speculating the soloist possibilities of the current Wonderful Hearts beginning with MoMusu’s 5th and 6th generations.

Two surprising things about this post. First, Max doesn’t think Takitty is quite ready for a solo career. Not to say he doesn’t like her or she doesn’t have the talent.  It is mostly the hard work she has been doing to lead the current group.  He also thinks Gaki has a legitimate shot.  And I must agree.  I think Risa would have a great chance, although not necessarily in the J-pop genre.  But the biggest surprise is who Max feels is ready for a solo career RIGHT NOW!  I know his choice will get quite a few WTF’s, but he makes an extremely convincing argument for this idol.

This is a well thought out and argued post.  Max considers many factors when deciding how “ready” each girl is.  He also promises not to stop until he has covered “everybody”.  Although I have no idea who “everybody” is.  Will Max be speculating on Berryz and Cute’s solo careers as well?  Recommended.
