Running out of superlatives (Berryz Kobo International)

Buono!’s second album was released this past week and a few bloggers have chimed in with appreciative reivews to Buono!’s latest endeavour.

solarblade of Kurayami Monogatari found the album to be a strong showing by Buono! Though he wasn’t wholly impressed with all the new album tracks, he at least found the second half of the album to be filled with strong tracks. However, he does mention that he hasn’t listened to Buono!’s first album, so he can’t compare the two.

On the other hand, Sairo of Kimono Edge Boy has listened to both albums, and while he finds this album to be another hit from Buono!, it doesn’t quite reach the same level of greatness of Cafe Buono! He goes over the hits and misses of the album, and names “Goal” as his favourite song off the album. He gives the album a 9/10 for the following reason:

If they hadn’t released Café Buono! before this album, I’d probably give it a 10/10, but since they didn’t raise the bar very much, I think it’s a 9/10.

zush of Berryz Kobo International is also loving this album and is “a bit afraid in a positive way because it seems that Buono! just can’t make things wrong.” I would have to agree with his assessment there, for Buono! has definitely been the most consistent group in H!P recently in regards to strong releases (in my opinion, of course). zush doesn’t delve too deeply into the tracks album, though I NEED YOU has really struck his fancy. Instead, his post is filled with eyecandy of scans from the album and screen shots from the LE DVD.
