I really felt bad all day since I hadn’t done a post on my own blog celebrating Kago Ai’s 21st birthday.  Thankfully CJ and Madara have come through in fine fashion with birthday wishes for one of mine and many others’ favorite idols…

CJ reminisces about his early H!P fandom, and how Kago was a big part of it.  After the “indoctrination” his Mini Moni collection grew rather quickly.  (Mine too CJ!)  And I love how he integrates Motorhead into the story as well, LOL!!!  That’s one pairing I never figured would meet in the same article.  Kago Ai and Lemmy Kilmister!  That got me thinking Ceej, when Ai does her solo album maybe she could cover Ace of Spades.  Ya think?

Madara celebrated the event by watching and reviewing a set of W PV’s.  That’s funny, I had a little W/MiniMoni DVD party at my house tonight!  He especially liked the extras/making of footage on the DVD’s  He remarks what a natural Kago was…and is in front of the camera.  I’m right there with you Madara.  If it wasn’t for Kago I may have never gotten into this J-pop stuff as much as I did!

So lets all raise a pint (I’m sure she tipped a couple tonight) and wish Ai a happy 21st!
