Shiho Fujisawa (藤澤志保)

Zac continues his introductions of new artists with Fujisawa Shiho, an artist whose style, in Zac’s own words, “is a mix of slamming club beats, spiced up with some world beat flavor, occasional big-band samples and a decided lack of robotized vocal performances.” If you sample one of the PV’s he’s included in the post, “Happy Hour,” you’ll find that her music is a colorful mashup of technopop and pop, with some occasional elements thrown in that refer to her days as a DJ. It’s a pleasant change to hear a non-synthesized voice these days, now that post-processing is the norm, and I’m willing to bet a lot of you will like what you hear come out of Shiho’s mouth.
