SMAP’s Kusanagi arrested for indecency (Tokyograph)

I’d really like to laugh my head off at this, but I feel bad for the backlash that is already unfolding.  Tsuyoshi Kusanagi from SMAP was arrested early Thursday morning in the Asakasa district of Tokyo for allegedly causing a disturbance in a public park.  And that’s not all, apparently when the police found him he was drunk and naked!

The tough part is that less than 24 hours after this incident it is already being reported that he is losing commercial and television jobs.  We have seen this all before, the price a Japanese celebrity pays for screwing up in public is exorbitant!  It’s an amazing phenomenon in the J-entertainment world.  I guess going on to Utaban or Matthew’s Best Hit TV and having a good laugh about it ala Hugh Grant is out of the question, eh?

Jeez!  If I had a dollar for every time I….errr, let’s just say it is good I am not a J-idol!
