Kumi Koda sings for “Kamui” (Tokyograph)

Koda Kumi’s upcoming fall single will be used as the the theme song for manga-to-film adaptation of “The Legend of Kamui”, opening in theatres on September 19th. Koda was tapped to write and perform the song, based on an aria (“Lascia ch’io pianga”) from Handel’s “Rinaldo” opera. Koda’s song, titled “Alive”, is the first time the artist has based on classical music.
