misono – Tales with misono -BEST (Kurayami Monogatari)

misono’s been releasing quite a bit this month (for her, anyway), starting with her latest single and now releasing Tales with misono -BEST, a compilation of all five of her Tales of… game series’ insert tracks that have popped up throughout both her solo career and her time with day after tomorrow, her old band. And Solarblade from Kurayami Monogatari has decided to review it for us.

Most of the tracks get praise from Solarblade here, with the two exceptions being the first day after tomorrow Tales of… track, Starry Heavens, which appears to be their most popular track, much to the confusion of Solarblade, as he doesn’t find too much in it; and the other exception being Tales…, the only new track to appear on the album, that Solarblade claims sounds like an unreleased day after tomorrow track that ends up falling flat and losing his attention. Overall, it appears to be something you could pass on buying if you weren’t a hardcore Tales of… or misono/day after tomorrow fan, but it does get some praise for including some decent tracks.
