KBS Music Bank Accident Much More Severe Than First Reported (allkpop.com)

SHINee’s leader, Onew, was hospitalized after performing at KBS Music Bank on Friday. One of the light fixtures on the stage fell, but fortunately, Super Junior’s Siwon and Kyuhyun managed to catch it before it fell. I want to say it was lucky that Siwon and Kyuhyun saved him, but it’s rather unlucky that it fell right on him, isn’t it! I hope he has a speedy recovery and stays out of harms way for a while!

allkpop.com is a new-to-IW site that covers tons of kpop news and has their own set of writers (similar to IW?!). Their initial post (by samlet) confirms that Onew is definitely fine (phew!) and there are some images and videos of the incident. Is it just me or does the third girl in the picture of Girl’s Generation/SNSD look a bit amused? Hmm. Along with the fancams and pictures, samlet also posts SHINee’s cover of 90s boyband H.O.T.’s We Are the Future! H.O.T. brings back tons of memories for me, so it was very nice to hear their cover! In allkpop.com’s second post, samlet explains that while Onew’s injury was not too bad, the entire incident was a bit more serious. The light fixture fell completely to the ground, and it could have hit many fans and stars. Thankfully, no one was hospitalized besides Onew, so you can rest assured that all the idols are fine. However, with so many of Korea’s young stars performing at that stage, one would hope that KBS takes measures to prevent this from ever happening again!

Over at ♥pretty boy power♥, the spazzes also reported on Onew’s injury, but they also linked a couple of videos of the Music Bank performances! There are two videos each of 2pm and SHINee, one of Super Junior combining It’s You and Sorry, Sorry, so everyone can get their fill of Korean boy bands! However, the real highlight of the event was, of course, Boys’ Generation! Members of Super Junior, 2am, 2pm, and SHINee (Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Key, Jo Kwon, Jaebum, Taekyeon, and Nickhun for anyone wondering which members were included) covered Girls’ Generation’s Gee. It was a very cute and amusing performance, and for all you guys, SNSD does make an appearance at the end! Now, I don’t want to force a member on anyone, but Yesung was ridiculously cute and everyone should pay attention to him! If you were a fan of Gee, definitely watch that video and question your sexual orientation right this instant.
