Guerrilla Event Lands Avex, Tokyu in Trouble (Japan Zone)
Idols need to be careful where they hang out! An April appearance by Ayumi Hamasaki in front of the 109 building is causing some legal trouble for Avex. After making appearances at the three big music stores nearby, she appeared onstage in front of 109. The problem was that they didn’t have the legal clearance to do it. And if you have ever been around that neighborhood, you know what a virtual zoo it is to begin with. Now add an impromptu Ayumi Hamasaki appearance in the middle of the intersection…sheesh!
I always find it interesting what the Japanese legal world takes super-seriously. Things like this happen on a daily basis in San Francisco (where I live), but no one seems to say a word. Then again, Japan has always put great stock into public order and courtesy. But however it shakes out…

Didn’t this happen a month ago or so? Some people on certain Ayu forums were all “OMG AyU IS GONNA GO TO J41L!!!111!!!OHNOEZ” over it…but of course, that didn’t happen…
yes, it occurred in April. but as the Japan Zone article notes, it’s only today that the police visited the avex offices to take action on it.
they’ll probably just be slapped with a fine and be done with it.
