(dis)Concerting Thoughts (Tsuyoke de Yukoze!)

Murr needs to start taking more road trips…

It hasn’t gotten past her that every time she has returned from a side trip in Japan, she had the opportunity to attend a J-pop concert.  What I didn’t know until the day we met was that Murr had never been to any type of concert whatsoever before her experiences in Japan.  So it is really interesting to hear her take on it.  Those of you who have dreamed of making a J-pop pilgrimage to Japan should take note…

Leading off with Morning Musume.  After being mesmerized by her first taste of seeing idols “in the flesh”.  She describes her experience, and re-ranks the members with their live performances in mind.  Murr is a Gaki fan, and Risa is a super live performer.  So I knew she would remain on Murr’s top spot.  She has since been to her first JE show, Kanjani8.  Murr describes the concert as even more fabulous than an H!P show.  In fact it has turned her into a self-described raving Johnny’s fangirl! (Uh-oh!)

I am excited Murr finally decided to post about her first-ever concert experiences.  It reminds me of my first time seeing a J-pop show (AKB48 at Shibuya AX)…so surreal!  Pretty soon Murr will become a seasoned veteran of the J-pop circuit.  But I am so happy that I was there when it all began for her!
