Videos of the Week 6-28-09 (ZB’s A-Z of J-Music)

Okay, I could talk about Zac’s soft spot for Perfume.  Or I could mention his timely Japanese “Thriller” parody.  But what really got my attention was the presence of The Yellow Magic Orchestra on Soul Train clip.  Soul Train??? YMO’s 1980 cover of Archie Bell and the Drells “Tighten Up” is beyond awesome.  It is just as cool as the original (if you have ever heard it).  And the Alaska Airlines commercial set to the same song just below is great!

Oh and Mr. Cornelius, nice tie!  (Bwahahaha)  Great flashback clip!
