Anime Expo ‘09 (Hello! Fansubs)

Late, ne~? Sorry for making you all wait so long, but we wanted to make sure that all those who wrote about their experiences at Anime Expo 09 had the chance to post about it! So starting off this round up is CatchFiveBats over at Obnoxious Wota! CFB is so detailed in writing about his experiences. As if I weren’t already jealous before, he made me even MORE jealous with the way he writes up the events. Out of his series of posts, my favorites have to be Pt.3, Pt. 4, and Pt. 6. I’m not saying that the other posts aren’t worth reading, they are, but if you’re not in the mood for reading the whole account, GO FOR THOSE THREE. Pt. 3 is his account of the concert, giving us his thoughts on the concert’s playlist and performances. He also mentions a bit about Hello!Party. And he met up with some wotachatters, which is ALWAYS awesome. Pt. 4 is his oh-so-very detailed account of the autograph sessions. Each girl gets her own paragraph. That’s saying something. Finally, Pt.6 is the culmination of his weekend. While reading through his experiences, you can get a feel of how far he’s fallen for the current line-up of Morning Musume, it’s not until part six that it really hits you just how thoroughly he’s in love with them. It’s amusing to say the least. His time at AX also expanded his views upon the relationship between an idol and their wota/fan. Well written and thought out, to say the least.

maiZe over at fields of maiZe and berryZ has put a lot of effort (not to say others didn’t) into her experiences… She’s got times and everything. Wow. Out of her series of posts, I’d have to say Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4! Wow, that’s almost all of them isn’t it? Day 1 tells the story of maiZe’s surprise encounter with Morning Musume. So shocked she almost forgot to take any footage of them lol. And we’ve all seen pictures of them at the opening panel, but her pictures are amazing. Day 2 is the concert at AX and Hello!Party. She gives us her feelings on the setlist and I have to agree with her about Resonant Blue. Seeing it live is a truly amazing thing. It’s much more exciting than you would think. And every time I read about Hello!Party in these posts, it makes me all the more jealous that I wasn’t able to go! Whatever, I’ll just have to make sure I’ll go to the next one… wherever … it may be. Day 3 is maiZe’s account of the Tsunku panel and MM’s autograph session. The encounters with Ai and Risa stood out the most to her, and that would make sense seeing as they are her top two in MM right now. Day 4 doesn’t have anything about AX events, but it does have her final thoughts on the whole weekend. Turns out that this concert was just the thing she needed to restart her love for Morning Musume. いい、な～！(Isn’t that nice!)

H!F’s SacredCultivator has links that lead to his experiences at AX. Three posts about his time at AX where I heard he got to meet the Big Dogs here at IW… :3 But it’s not just his posts. It also links to his friends experiences too. There was a lot that went on, and it’s great that he had been recognized without planning to BE recognized. To have that kind of celebrity, no matter how small it is. Hm. Anyway, he doesn’t write to much about the concert for his second post but he does have videos of him stalking Yoshizawa Hitomi! I couldn’t stop laughing as I watched his videos. And he mentions his time at Hello!Party. In his third post, we learn that he waited a loooooooong time for autographs, but apparently he was unable to get one. Sad. Maybe next time?

Overall, reading these posts just made me jealous, I guess. I mean, I’m excited and happy that they all got to experience something as wonderful as meeting Morning Musume face to face, but it’s still kind of like ‘WHY WASN’T I THERE?!’. But then I remember I was in Japan at the time and had seen them in concert over there. So, you know, you win some you lose some. Just gotta keep up my hopes that they’ll appear in the States another time!
