Anime Expo Round Up Pt. 2

MMAX: Day 1|MMAX: Day 2|MMAX: Day 3 (Renai Project)
Anime Expo Day 1|AX Day 2|AX Day 3|Day 4 in LA|Final Thoughts (Selective Hearing)
LET’S SINGING, DANCING, AND EXCITING!! (MM@AX2009) (Mini Moni Mania)

Also coming way behind the times, (although, to be fair, a lot of your guys had a lot of great posts about this!), here’s part 2 of your Anime Expo “reaction” posts.

Yumi at Renai Project was lucky enough to attend AX as something of a local, so we get to read her exploits without having them be colored by things like having a bad hotel. She just hopped on a bus and went to see Momusu. Day 1 details the “first day” nonsense that conventions are often known for (like standing in line) and the Momusu panel, Day 2 is mostly a run-down of the concert, and the Yossie signing, and Day 3 has the Tsunku panel and Momusu signing. All told… I think Yumi liked it! She isn’t as enthusiastic as other bloggers have been about the event, but there are a few bits where she refreshingly loses her cool.

Greg over at Selective Hearing had so much to say about AX, he had to do it across 5 parts. The first four count down through the days of the convention, with the final being a “final thoughts” entry. Read the third post (which covers the autograph session) if you read no other. The Momusu-induced awe is very present in these blog entries, but that’s what I’m enjoying most. The 4th part is non-AX stuff, but does mention a few other bits and pieces from around the area that you might enjoy reading.

K at Mini Moni Mania goes through a brief mind-melting explanation of the gifts she gave to Momusu. (Hint: They have a lot to do with math and other such higher-thinking pursuits.) K’s report talks almost solely about the pursuit of Momusu, and is worth reading to see the rising reaction each time that pursuit was thwarted. In the end, though, there was the shaking Koharu’s hand, and I think that’ll stay with K for a long time.

There’s more to come with this round-up, so keep an eye out!
