Road Trip to see the Wonder Girls: Day one continued (PPP55)
Japan 2009 – Day 02 – Ai & Risa Dinner Show (Omame.co.uk)
This is a continuation of two blogs we covered over the last couple of weeks. Ines resumes her story of getting to meet Wonder Girls while they were on tour with the Jonas Brothers in Texas. It is great that she has such a vivid recollection of the monumental moment as most people with similar experiences will attest it usually passes in a blur. But in fine fashion the Wonder Girls were gracious hosts, and made Ines feel totally comfortable in the moment. And the best part? A group pic!!! Awesome!!!!!!
Lolli continues her adventures in Japan with a review of the Takahashi Ai/Niigaki Risa dinner show at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo. Now do you understand why I love staying at that hotel so much? Not only does it have great ambiance, but you might catch a random idol roaming the halls! It was just outside this hotel that I ran into Matsuoka Yuki, formerly from AKB48. But back to Lolli…
These dinner shows are so much fun. Pricey, but fun! It makes for a totally different experience to see idols perform while chowing down on some great food and a Fru Fru alcoholic beverage…personally designed by Gaki herself! In fact, the idea of Risa drinking this is cool enough. Lolli describes what it’s like to see a show of this caliber. She describes the show in detail. But the best parts of the post focus on the general ambiance of the festivities. And one of the neatest things about seeing a show like this is getting to be so close to the performers. In traditional fashion, Lolli finished the evening with a drunken ride of the JR back to her hotel…
I just want to say that I hear a lot of people exclaiming how lucky the people are that get to have these types of experiences. But it is what makes idol worship so great. The fact is the girls do make themselves available this way. Perhaps some more than others. But when you put your mind to it then it’s not difficult to have the types of moments Ines and Lolli are describing. So what are you waiting for?

Valerie, I’ll give you the abridged version. I was heading to the Shinagawa station exit (returning from a Team K show) and a group of girls walked past me. I kept thinking one of them looked a lot like Matsuyuki (that amazing chin of hers was sort of a giveaway). About 5 seconds later another girl ran by me yelling “Yuki, Yuki!” I turned around, and she joined the other girls.
The End
