Nishikido, Yamapi struck by flu (Tokyograph)
Tokyograph brings the news of Yamapi and Ryo from Johnny’s Ent getting hit by the swine flu. Just a couple days ago the boys were working hard hosting 24 hr television, and it seemed that they both, especially Ryo, were rather out of it and not as active as the other members in the shows activities. I, for one, am really touched that they still went out and did the best they could for the fans, even though it probably means everyone they worked with will get the flu also. In all the seriousness of this, I’m just thankful we have Shige and Tegoshi with their virus detectors to save any of our other favorites from this potential JE outbreak.
All jokes aside, I really do hope these boys get better. They’ve been working so hard on their dramas recently, and as much of a pity as it is that the dramas may have to be postponed, I’d rather that they rested to full health and then came back to work when they really could handle it. Best wishes, Ryo and Pi!

Swine flue really isn’t that big a deal. It’s basically the normal flu. They’ll be sick for a week and then be fine. It’s not going to kill anyone in Johnny’s so there’s no reason to freak out.

actually, swine flu is worse than the normal flu, and people HAVE died
it affects young people because they weren’t around for the spanish flu etc, so their systems havent built immunity.
everyone has a right to be worried. (=

Well… it’s a different strain, so there aren’t (currently) ways to be immunized against it, unless the immunization I heard was in development was successful in testing. This means it can take advantage of those with weaker immune systems. If someone already is sick and then contracts H1N1, there is a greater chance of death or serious complications. It comes with a VERY high fever, as well, which doesn’t help matters much, either.

yes, H1N1 is actually quite dangerous! it preferentially attacks able-bodied people as opposed to most flu strains which infect mainly older or immunocompromised individuals. outside of mexico, the cases haven’t been as severe, so the boys will probably not suffer more than if they had a regular flu. still, it’s not a laughing matter and everyone should be careful!

..And Yamapi used to smoke too :/
Idk, I hope they get better x( Even if it might not seem that big of a deal, it is still possible for it to harm the body.

i think that in asian countries the Swine Flu did not spread rapidly compared to those countries that are located in colder climates. we should still be very thankful that the swine flu did not cause massive infections.
