Happy Birthday Sub-Leader!! (fields of maiZe and berryZ)

Maize takes a walk down memory lane for Niigaki Risa’s 21st birthday.  Geez, 21!  As Maize points out, Gaki is now old enough to go bar hopping with Aichan on their next trip to the states.  In addition to declaring all of the reasons why Risa is so great, she has also treated us to some early footage from a few years back.

I remember watching all of those “100% interviews” when I first got into the group, and I remember thinking how “traditional” the girls all were at heart.  And I love their image of the planets future, filled with flying cars and Japanese-speaking dogs! (LOLOL)  But to me the best gem is watching Gaki-san’s episode of Futarigoto, where she makes her favorite dish while acting cute and silly the entire time.  I watch this stuff and wonder why H!P isn’t still doing stuff like this.

But it is neat to see how Risa has grown from a pig-tailed young girl to a beautiful woman right before our eyes.  I am so glad the wish she made in front of Tokyo Tower came true.  We are all richer for it!
