Sekushii Purincesu (Shanimuni Paradise)
What could have been great, it’s not (Jiriri Kiteru)
Kimagure Princess PV (omame.co.uk)
Morning Musume – Kimagure Princess (Selective Hearing)
Morning Musume In Good Single Shock – Sexy Princesses Rule! (Morningtime)
One thing is for sure, this PV sure has the screencappers working overtime. There are plenty of pics on everyone’s review, as well as plenty of snark. No matter what you think of Morning Musume’s newest single, which sounds to me like a cross between Koi no Dance Site and Milky Way’s Anataboshi, there is no question that it is a change of pace for the girls…
Tsukiki loves the song, which is surprising considering all of the different H!P songs she lists that she feels it emulates (i.e. Odore, Morning Curry and half of v-u-den’s catalog). And I must be getting old, because I didn’t notice the focus on their derrieres that Tsukiki mentioned. She does a review of each member, with Eri getting the best feedback and Reina getting dissed yet again (Grrrr!)
Arche-JoIyO is obviously disappointed with this release, and gives us quite a few reasons why. Not the least of which is the “high pitched” singing. Yeah, like Momo is Berryz it is an acquired taste. Arche also lists the old songs this PV takes a queue from (i.e. Iroppoi Jirettai, Jiriri Kiteru), and isn’t sure what this theme has to do with Princesses. Oh, and there are those butts again!
I love the little “gif’s” Lolli made, especially the Gaki one at the top. She has lined up about a thousand screencaps. In fact I think if you print them on paper and shuffle through them quickly you can actually watch the entire PV! In between all of the pics is Lolli’s usual snark. Oh, she likes the PV…She better! She spent so much time on the post!!!
Greg has his own list of songs he thinks KP emulates, including Koharu’s Balalaika! He isn’t digging the “chipmunked” vocals, but he is digging Sayu, JunJun, the cowboy hats…oh, and the butt shots!!! Ya know speaking of “butt shots”, I was at a cantina in Tijuana, and…
Maybe I’ll save that one for my own blog!
Shockingly, Morningtime has enlisted BBC reporter Roland Buerk to report on the PV’s world impact. The performance of “8 princesses and Mitsui” has done much for peace in the world, and as a result Tsunku has allegedly been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize! Wow, isn’t that nice? According to Morningtime (or Roland) the new single was carefully chosen as a fitting “goodbye” to soon to be departing Kusumi Koharu, as the resemblance to Balalaika is uncanny!
Hahahaha!
