The Top 3 Reasons Why… Morning Musume should cover “Lady Marmalade” (Midori’s J-pop Overanalyzations)

I’m sure we all have our secret wants when it comes to Western songs we’d like our J-pop groups to sing. For Midori, it’d be the classic “Lady Marmalade.” I thought it was a rather curious choice, but Midori does provide some good reasoning. I completely agree with her on one thing at least: it’s about time to really sex up Momusu! “Kimagure Princess” was a start… but just barely. UFA definitely had they right idea before when they made Maki Goto do a Shakira cover on one of her last tours with H!P.

Me? While a part of me does want Momusu to go the full-on sex route like Midori, I’d give pretty much anything if they’d cover the entire “Sgt. Pepper” by The Beatles. That’d be sexy, too — just in a more LSD-y way is all.
