This site news post has been a long time coming, but it is finally here. The first thing I’d like to bring to everyone’s attention is that our former editors, CK and Amy have been promoted to administrators thanks to all of their hard work on the front page and behind the scenes. This actually happened a few months ago, and anyone who has been wandering around on the IW Staff page may have noticed that. Congratulations CK and Amy!!

We also have a new addition to the staff. Wendy from 香水 is our newest protege (and again, this actually happened a few months ago).

For any readers who haven’t noticed the “new” tab in our menubar at the top of the page, we have added the “IW Original Content” to the site. This is where all the articles related to events that have been covered by a member the IW staff are placed (ex. Anime Expo, Otakon, GLAY in LA).

Late last year, we launched Wotatalk.com, a forum for IW. Unfortunately, the forum never really picked up, and so it is with a heavy heart that I must announce the death of Wotatalk. You never know if something will work until you try it, and it seems that IW’s readers either don’t frequent forums or have too many other forums which they already frequent. Well, it was fun while it lasted and IW’s chatroom Wotachat is still around for a place meet fellow readers and IW staff.

Finally, we’d like to get a better idea of what it is IW’s readers are most interested in on the site and see what we can do to improve your International Wota experience. Therefore, we’ve created a survey, which we will be leaving up for a few weeks. Please fill it out if you have some time and let us know how we’re doing.
