The Year in PW Part One – A-chan Squared Plus Nocchi Squared Equals Kashiyuka Squared (Pink Wota)
The Year in PW Part Two: Thank Heaven for Little Girls…
The Year in PW Part GAME OVER: TOP TEN TIME
New Year’s is right around the corner, which certainly means blogs filled with Top 10’s, “best-ofs”, “worst-ofs” and heavens knows what else. Vee’s three part extravaganza takes this to the next level, although she admittedly burned out by the third entry. She starts with a critique of Perfume, focusing on their most recent release. You know, the one with the triangle? (CK doesn’t feel like cutting and pasting that) But the review goes far beyond that, drawing comparisons to many of the top Western electronic artists. She defends the girls against their harshest critics who accuse them of being less than talented artists. I agree. There are plenty of excellent musical acts that were a challenge to reproduce onstage. That didn’t mean they weren’t good. And even if much of their live performances are “manufactured”, I still find them entertaining. So does Vee…
The second post should draw many of you in strictly based on the title. And Vee isn’t talking about Leslie Caron (although she probably looked pretty good in a bikini back in the day) She is talking about plenty of hawt pics of Momo, Risako, MaiMai, Koharu, Kago, AKB and one of the best pics of Sato Yukari I have ever seen. It reminds me of that cute little dance move she does in SDN48’s Yuuwaku no Garter. I think Maurice Chevalier, the world’s first “Pedobear” would approve. And I was happy to see my fave Idoling!!! girl Yazawa make a cameo.
She ends with her Top Ten artists of 2009. I love her list, and she does a great job of convincing me why I should listen to many of these artists. I won’t give much away. But I was totally satisfied with her #1 selection. IMO, just about everything this group has released is great. And Vee says she didn’t have much to say about 2009?
Phooey!!!

I was surprised by that #1 choice actually (Although the chronology of what came out when in my head is useless).
