There isn’t really much to say about this article except to read it and be appreciative that Cait was willing to share her personal perspective. I’m sure this post will be quite controversial, but she states early on, “the last thing I’m interested in doing at a time like this is calling people out”. Cait has an important message she wants to share, was conflicted about whether or not she should – or how she should handle it – but what she provides here is essential reading, something anyone interested in what happened to Kago Ai should not pass up.
I’m not sure if it’s going to change minds necessarily – the emotions and reactions that Kago brought out in our bloggers and readers came from each individual’s beliefs and experiences, and I doubt any of the blog posts were written lightly or without forethought. But Cait definitely adds a crucial dimension to the ongoing discussion, and I think we all benefit from it.
I dunno man, I would say she called me out pretty loudly. Her statements sounded like fighting words. But I as the so-called deplorable, self-entitled human being with no decency will just turn my back and walk away from this fight. I appreciate her comments on the situation but her attack on other’s supposed character were uncalled for.
In a way, I would agree with Greg on this – but I also agree with Cait as well. I don’t mind being called out, necessarily – it shocked me, but it brought me to light what I have said, and I do think that I was too harsh – but I was also being truthful, and what I don’t want to be right now is false and say that I love Kago. I was angry at the time, and I still am. My opinion is my opinion – I am entitled to it, as is everyone else when ti comes to THEIR opinions. That is all I have to say.
