thanks for your answer. I am definitely going to watch one of the concerts. You also answered one of the questions I forgot to ask. In your profile section when you said you were a doctor I assumed you were in your 40’s, that’s a relief. I just can’t imagine someone the age I thought that would be into J-Pop. Oh gosh that was off topic.

Hi, I’m 23 years old. Well, I’d say that in order to get to know AKB, you could start by trying to watch one of their concert DVDs, which is where you can find a lot of the singles, but also, some Stage songs performed. You could drop by my “Meet the AKB48 girls” page that has been recently updated And well, for basic structure: AKB48 is a group with 3 Teams that conform it. team A is the classic idol group, they’re all pretty and composed. Team K is basically the fierce group and Team B is all about cuteness. For the singles, not all the 48 girls get elected, but usually 16, these members are known as “Senbatsu” which means “elected” they are usually chosen by the management, although there are elections every year so that fans can vote for their favorite. In AKB singles there are rarely any solo lines, and when they are it’s just one in the whole song xD all the girls sing roughly the same parts of the song. About the Oogoe covers, that was the only time only one girl has appeared (except for Heavy Rotation type B, in which Yuko appears alone since she was elected as no. 1) and it’ because they were pushing AKB’s sister group SKE48 and their frontgirl Jurina.

Hi! I loooove this website. But I’m new to everything AKB48 (I’m a huge Hello!Project fan and I really wanted to give AKB a try) and there are some things I don’t know about, so is there any “essential AKB48 stuff” I need to know? Oh, and I always wondered this, but some AKB single covers have just one of the girls (Oogoe diamond) or fifteen of them (namida surprise) or five (beginner). Is there a reason those specified girls are on the cover? Do they have a lot of lines? Or is it random? I’m sorry for asking a bunch of questions… Oh and how old are you??
