At Good Morning! Junior, Yopotan makes the obvious comparison between High-King’s C/C and Super Junior’s Kim Heechul. (Well, it’s obvious if you’re me. Or her. Or someone else who likes both Suju and Momusu. Okay? Okay.) She also shares her thoughts on the single, and some pictorial proof that Heechul’s and Takitty’s dancing skillz are also very similar. Just humor me and take a look at the GIFs of Heechul, okay? You need to know this man. And then yeah there’s that H!P stuff too. (XD)

Namida no Iro - Fan Recording (Some Boys! Blog)
Hello!°C-ute and Some Boys! Blog both have a fan recording of C-ute’s upcoming fifth single, Namida no Iro. It’s a good enough quality recording that you can actually hear what the song sounds like. It seems to have a Latin feel to it. Download it and try it out!

Good Morning! Junior
OH BABY It’s ENDLESS… (Good Morning! Junior)
Crying Dandelion (Good Morning! Junior)
Good Morning! Junior is a blog by three girls who seem to love H!P and Super Junior, and it appears they’ve far outdone me in combining these fandoms entertainingly. In the second link above, AKB48 and Momusu songs have been matched up to certain Suju members, and the photoshopped Ryeowook picture with the reacting Takitty GIF is one of the most amazing things I’ve seen in quite awhile. And in their latest entry, in the third link, Tanpopo is compared to Suju’s 3nin subgroup, K.R.Y. This is freaking brilliant, and why did I not think of the Tanpopo/K.R.Y. thing? My god, I need to befriend these people. Why didn’t I find them sooner?! (The greatest part is that I found them when I Googled the translation to AKB48’s “Dear my teacher”; evidently, the pedoness brings us all together.)

Goto Maki’s Hello! Project Graduation
Gocchin is leaving Hello! Project and UFA to work in another company. Whatever reactions we all may have…we should all pray that Avex snatches her up.
This is basically EPIC news.

Misa shares some ideas of people who look similar to H!P members, complete with pictoral proof. The pictures she found of Yagu and Miku really do look similar, but the Airi one is perhaps her most interesting choice. And I find myself agreeing with it, somewhat. I praise Misa’s friend for spotting that resemblance first! I would’ve never noticed something like that.

Misa is a friend of mine who I met at Anime North - she came up to me to comment on my Koi Kana cosplay, and we’ve been talking about H!P on MSN a lot ever since. Why didn’t I ask her if she had a blog long ago? Her latest entry is about H!P members who she thinks bare enough of a resmblance to each other that they could be related; I find the one with Chisato interesting, since her actual sister is in H!P. Her entry about her favorite H!P members is also worth reading, as it’s a nice mix of the kids and the older crowd, and it’s always fun to read about why certain idols are someone’s favorites.

Focusing on HALCALI - Part One
Hotaru begins looking at HALCALI’s singles, since she finds herself really falling for them. This part, in particular, is a great analogy:
It was like a “I never realized I loved you until I hit my head on that door and you were there to give me an ice pack.” or something (XD).
Kind of reminds me of a typical piece of fanfiction…but anyway, she reviews three of their songs and PVs here, and there are more parts to come!

See for yourself:

You may now proceed to KWTF?!

The amazing H!P rock remix site by Akebono no Myojo, hope I die by Overdose/Between the Berryz and Me/ANGEL IS AN ASTRONAUT (it got a new name with each “album”) has come to an end. Do yourself a favor and download the zipped files of his “albums” before the site closes for good! Akebono no Myojo has a great talent for making rock remixes - he even used an Underoath instrumental as the basis for a remix of “Massara Blue Jeans” which sounds AWESOME - and the closing of his site is a great loss to the world of H!P remixes. As an avid fan of his remixes, I want to thank him for all of his hard work on these remixes since 2004! His site will be sorely missed.

Craig’s latest Berryz eyecandy blogs. The Risako one starts off with a nice picture of Risako with one of those vulva ties. (That’s what they will be known as, from now on, because of that one comment by Craig…I love how things catch on, around here. Like the word Sayummy.) ^_^ And the Berryz one has a great picture of a ticket for their recent concert where they’re wearing some very pretty outfits. How appropriate that they’re all wearing tiaras, since they are definitely Jpop royalty.

Craig shares a picture of a girl standing beside a big ad for “Onna ni Sachi are” featuring Koharu, and doesn’t appear to know that said girl is AKB48’s Minegishi Minami. Evidently, I am ahead of many of you with my knowledge of AKB48’s members. =) Anyway, it’s always cool to see one idol showing some love for another! And the ad itself is pretty awesome. I wonder if there’s one of Aika somewhere.
This kind of reminds me of my picture with the Gomaki picture downtown XD. (And Johnny’s, too!)

Berryz and Momusu article on Oricon site
I don’t really understand this and the translator I ran it through didn’t help. Someone explain this, please? I briefly panicked when I saw the words “MoMusume member” but I’m pretty sure it’s not what I thought. I just remembered that old theory that Berryz members would get “moved up” to Momusu and got scared for a minute. But what is this about, anyway?

First look: the brilliant green - Stand by me
pengie shares the PV for the brilliant green’s comeback single “Stand by me” and is happy to see the group performing together again. It’s a very nice song and PV, and I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who thinks Tommy looks like Avril Lavigne when she’s in Tommy heavenly6 mode (which is definitely not the case in this video).
Some Boys! Blog has the limited and regular edition covers for the upcoming Berryz album, as well as the tracklist! Some of those song titles are pretty long, but I know half of you are just going to be distracted by the ties on the cover ever since Craig made that one comment. XP I’m not sure what I think of these covers just yet…I wonder what the general reaction to them will be.

Hello!Project Newcomer Concert 2
Some Boys! Blog reports a second concert for newer Hello! Project members, to take place in August. It hasn’t been announced yet who will be in it. I find this news strange, since having another concert for them so soon after their first one…well, it can’t really be worth it, can it? Hmm, I’m going to keep my eye on this news.

Kaori Iida pregnant, to marry former musician
Hello!Online reports that first gen Momusu Kaori is 10 weeks pregnant and is engaged to the vocalist for a now-defunct band produced by Tsunku called 7House, named Kenji. All I’m wondering is why this always happens to ex-Momusus who are actually doing something. It’s not like Yuko’s in a tenth anniversary unit or Kei’s doing para para with a competitive eater…Anyway, the endless stream of unexpected H!P news just keeps rolling in!
(Congratulations Johnson!)

He no longer appears to be a TNX artist, since his artist profile and blog have been deleted from the site. In any case, I hadn’t heard of him before I read this entry, so I found this interesting and will definitely be listening to the singles later.

Some Boys! Blog reports that Ayaya’s long-awaited 19th solo single, “Egao,” will be released on August 29th. At long last! Of course, some of us are just wondering if there will be a Mikitty solo release soon, but this will be exciting for many, too.

Okay, now tell me this isn’t just me. I swear the cover of the Natsu no Tropical Musume Single V looks like the cover of a porno. Aina (on the right) specifically made me think this; it looks like she isn’t wearing any shorts or anything, and she’s got that cowboy hat…combine that with the setting they’re posing in, and even the title, and I swear someone who doesn’t know THE Possible could mistake this for porn, based on the cover. XD
So um, yeah, support THE Possible! (Heh.)

Risako Gets Even More Attention
Some Boys! Blog reports the upcoming release of Berryz Koubou’s newest album! DEAR LORD!!! Another H!P Scandal!!!!!
Langdon shares with us the news of a crazy guy who used millions of yen that he earned illegally to travel all over Japan to go to Momusu concerts. He even went to Hawaii for Nacchi’s Christmas concert with some of the money. Geez…what’s next? Some guy forcing his wife to get plastic surgery to look like Kago? (Wait, of course not. Why would he go to the trouble of doing that when, as a random creepy married guy, he could get the real thing?)
Okay, that may have been going too far, but you get the idea. XD

Scandals, scandals….. What the heck is going on in Hello! Project?!
In reaction to all the recent buzz about Tsuji and Sugiura, Jin discusses his thoughts on some of the most prominent scandals in H!P - including Mari’s relationship with Oguri Shun and Aibon’s antics of the past year - and compares Tsuji’s current situation to something that supposedly happened with Reina last fall. Jin’s the only one I’ve ever seen mention the Reina thing in Friday magazine last fall, and I’m glad he brought it up again. ‘Tis interesting, indeed.

Yes I do! Though there are girls in this post too, of course. Tsuji shares both EU PHORIA’s PV for “Valentine Jealousy” and, more surprisingly, LM.C’s new PV “Boys & Girls.” Love for LM.C? Go Tsuji! (I know nothing about EU PHORIA, though it says on this page that I’m reading that Tsunku wrote one of their songs, so my interest has been caught, now.)

Morning Musume Champion of 5 Titles in Female Group Category
Jin tells us that Momusu have surpassed Pink Lady in sales by a female group, making them officially the #1 selling female group in Japan, ever. I hope Tsunku took the over-20s of Momusu’s past and present out for some sake…and the rest for some milkshakes. XD Our beloved H!P flagship group is offically #1!
(By the way, I DO realize how the title I gave this entry can be interpreted. XD)

News: Apartment (Theme Song by Gazette) Trailer Up
Aural Candy shares the trailer for the Japanese release of the Korean horror movie “Apartment,” featuring Gazette’s “Chiziru” (one of the B-sides on their latest single, “Hyena”) as a theme song. That’s pretty cool exposure, and a song as awesome as “Chiziru” deserves it. (If you like Jrock, I beg you to listen to “Chiziru” as soon as you possibly can. You will NOT regret it.)
AruAru Iru Yo! - Cover Your Ears, Kids
If you thought Kd was snarky usually, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Don’t blame her for this, though, she was pissed off today. Anyway, she covers the poor sales of Sexy 8 Beat and the apparent sleaziness of the restaurant owner hand-holding dude Kago’s been hanging around with. =S

Thea of Made in Paradise shares the short versions of the two latest AAA PVs, which appear to bare some similarity to the Black and White single’s PVs, color scheme-wise. “Get chu!” is light-hearted and fun, while “SHE no jijitsu” is a little more…err…adult. ^_^

(TV) Koinu Dan no Monogatari (Ft. H!P Kids + MM) {HardSubbed}
Hello!Online user SacredCu. was kind enough to upload this fully English subtitled file of the movie Koinu Dan no Monogatari (Puppy Dan’s Story). Released in 2002, it features all but four of the original Hello! Project Kids, with Momoko and Berryz’s Saki as the stars, as well as some members of Morning Musume at the time, and Goto Maki. Who’s more adorable here, the H!P Kids or the puppy, Dan? (I think I can predict how most of you will answer, though. XP) Apparently, this movie won a popularity award from the Awards of the Japanese Academy (source here)!

Eggcellent is the first English-language fansite for the Hello! Project Eggs. Aside from C-ute’s Kanna, Biyuuden’s Yui, and more recently THE Possible, it’s difficult to find much information on the Eggs. This site, however, has small profiles on all of the Hello! Project Eggs, including ages, pictures, and information on what they’ve been doing since they joined H!P. It’s a great resource for information on these H!P members who most of us know little about.

disc review: dir en grey | “despair in the womb” (disc 2) (2007)
Always a prime source for the latest Dir en grey news, Go shares an overview of the second disc of the band’s latest tour DVD, which features live and backstage footage of their shows and tours in 2006. The incorrect English subtitle of something that was being said in English is a particularly interesting (and puzzling) point. If that’s not enough to grab your attention, there are also screencaps of Kyo getting a new tattoo and Shinya getting kissed by some of their Family Values tour mates!
