When the Mikan PV came out I posted a short list of positives and negatives, so I’m going to do the same for this one.
=)
-The costumes and dance are very sexy in a kakkoii way, and not the least bit cheesy. It’s kind of thrashy like Shabondama, and I love Shabondama’s dance
-Everyone looks hot, and as much as I hate to admit it, Koharu is looking really good
-From the short glimpse of LinLin we get at the beginning, I believe that she’s wearing thigh-high fishnets
-The dark blue lighting is cool and sets the mood well

-I’m tired of whining about unfair line distribution…but, the only ones who get any solo lines (except for a couple of “whoa whoa’s” by Gaki and a shouted part by Sayumi) are Ai-chan, Reina, and Koharu. I suppose it’s intentional that their costumes have white in them while everyone else is wearing all black, but it really trivializes the rest of the group. It’s rather Mr.Moonlight-esque in its execution.
-8th gen is especially invisible. Eri/Gaki are paired on the “ne ne dakedo” parts, and Sayumi has one shouted line at the end to remind us that she’s there, but all of 8th gen could have been replaced by some other girls with similar hair and no one would notice
-They seem to have trimmed the budget further by making the entire thing a dance shot. Really. There’s only one kind of shot. How much cheaper can they get? I’m sure the close-ups would have been hot too.

so what if the PV sucked? im sure that the other version will be awesome!!! the other thing that everyone should be worrying about are the sales and ranking and the competition,i predict that the single will get a weekly ranking of either 1 or 2 sell over between 89,000-800,000 copies in the first week and sell over 1,000,000 or 2,000,000 copies in total.
Maybe there’ll be a higher-quality “Alternate Edition” à la “THE Manpower!!!”. Perhaps they went with the “safer” dance-shot version because the other one’s too complex (hoping for awesome physics-ness … ^.^)
I agree 100% with you. I didn’t like the white on the TanaTakaKoha outfits, either.
@Andrea- Really quick, I just wanted to add, it is so extremely unlikely for that to happen. Johnny’s rarely sells over 500,000, at they’re the cream of the crop in Japan. Morning Musume hasn’t sold anything over 100,000 since 2004 with Ai Araba. They average around 50,000 on a good single, if that.
I don’t really dislike the white on their outfits. I just wish that either they all had it or none of them had it. We can tell who the main focus of the PV are. You don’t need to point it out in such an obvious way
^ Ah, but resonance means specific frequencies get amplified, not everything. It might be unfortunate for the fans, but you can’t argue with the physics. :-p
^ Bah! I’m a biology major. I HATE physics, and physics II (with electricty and magnets and light and stuff) was my least favorite class of all time.
^ Well, I’m a former physics major and current physics minor, and I’ve taken a physics class every semester I’ve been in college. And I LOVE biology. So hah. :-p
^ Speaking of which, I took practice GREs just for the heck of it last spring, and was surprised to find myself scoring better than 84 percent of actual people who had taken the Biology GRE, despite having taken nothing beyond intro bio. Maybe I should consider a career in biology… o.o
Yeah, the line distribution is so….. LOL Mostly Ai and Reina sang XD. The costumes r hot lol. and btw ur right, they r cutting budget with making it only one shot. and i think they have those blue lights is b/c they cant pay electricity for good lighting LOL jp
well i still want it to sell over 900,000-2,000,000 copies in total if a huge miracle happens!
