Celestia, let me start by saying that the train system is very convenient and easy to use! I figured it out the first day I was there. I believe the August show is at Yoyogi Stadium, which is right next to Shibuya AX, in between Shibuya and Harajuku. Harajuku is on the Yamanote "green" line which you can catch from many points in Tokyo, and Shibuya station serves alot of different lines. The walk is a little longer, maybe a 10 minute walk versus a five minute walk from Harajuku. I think you'll be surprised on the convenience of the transportation. Check out the JR line web site.

As far as the seating, I highly recommend you get as good a seat as possible. You'll kick yourself if you don't. It's not standing room only, I'm pretty sure they have actual seats at YS, so you'll have your own little space. The raucous crowd "in front" is not nearly as bad as you'd expect. At Yokohama, everyone kept to their own space and basically jumped vertically up and down. It wasn't a "mosh pit" by any means. It looks alot more intimidating in the DVD's than it actually is, IMO. And there were a few girls near where I was sitting. They didn't look any worse for the wear!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Have fun! CK

I can't really give you any advice of my own since I've never been to an H!P concert before either, but I would suggest posting this question on some H!P boards like H!O. There are several people there who have been to H!P concerts before and they should be able to give you some advice on the tickets, etc.
