Hi. A friend of mine told me about your blog. I'm a teacher in the US who just got back from a 3 week study tour of Japan through the JFMF program. And I'm wanting to move there to teach for at least a year, if not for much much longer. She said that you were currently leaving to go do the same. I'd enjoy hearing from you and hearing about it, both good and bad, knowing about the troubles you had, what group you went through, would you do it again... that sort of thing. I'm planning to go in about 2 years, after firguring out everything. But I'm worried at the same time. It would be nice to have a friend to talk with about it who is experiencing what it's actually like. Please let me know if you'd be interested in discussing it and such with me. I will be keeping an eye on your blog as well. Have a wonderful time. Japan is amazing and if you are like me, it feels like home the second you step off of the plane!

Ah so lucky ( > ____ < ) But congrats on getting teaching job there, and I hope you have a safe trip!

Some health tips from Pepto Bismal .com! xDD
- If you wear contacts, don't wear them on planes.
- To avoid legs swelling during a flight, tap your toes while keeping your heels on the floor.
- Get a good night's sleep before flights.
- Eat regularly. Fasting more than five hours during the day or more than 13 hours overnight increases the likelihood of a headache.
- Ask flight attendants to turn up the ventilation equipment. Low levels of oxygen and high levels of ozone and carbon dioxide can cause headaches.
- Eat moderately and drink more liquids than usual (but avoid alcohol—it has a much stronger effect in a cabin atmosphere).
- Try to sit by the wings of the plae, it eliminates motion sickness.
