Make Up Photos
Picspam coming, but first, another closing thought on the whole “elders graduating” thing. A lot of people have been going around saying that this graduation= very bad things for h!p, including huge loses in fanbase. To which I say…um…what fanbase? The thing is, if the elders had a sizable fanbase supporting them, their CD’s would sell more than a measly few thousand copies. There are a lot of people who were fans of these girls, but either lost interest in h!p all together or moved on to the more active groups. If there were a sizable fanbase to be lost, these girls probably wouldn’t be graduating anyway.
Oh, and I looked at a newspaper article on the “graduation” which showed pictures of the members graduating, and the 3 gatas eggs weren’t among them. I’d say there’s strong evidence that Ongaku Gatas is over and those eggs will be returning to the egg fold rather than graduating with the rest of them. Just speculation though.

Much of the Japanese fandom was pretty bewildered by this news too, but I don’t think it’ll have much of an effect on fandom there. People who liked some Elder Club members and really like MoMusu/Berryz/C-ute will go on supporting MoMusu/Berryz/C-ute, and people who were diehard fans of an Elder Club member will more than likely continue supporting her if she continues in her career. Others might move on to other idols.
As for the English-speaking fandom though…based on some of the posts I’ve seen I bet the big H!P boards will have a big drop in members posting…

Yeah I think those eggs graduating was a typo or something.
I still think it’s a bad thing for H!P because it diminishes the range of what they are. Really, they already had done that by not promoting the elder’s work or not giving them work altogether. If you look at the marketing push behind Hangry & Angry and people’s reaction before the record is even out, (I guess that’s not H!P? But whatever, they are still in H!P right now, who cares.) people still love these girls if they do something interesting. I felt like Gatas was something that should have been pushed in that way. Maybe not coming out in America but in Brazil or something.
But yeah, the rest of the elders have just been putting out ballads like they are 50. Some of them probably want to move on or be able to do something else. And some like Kei I thought graduated when they left MM. I still think it’s a little creepy to be doing them all at once, but I’m not really upset about it now.

I was upset about hearing the news about the EC at first but I’ve realized that these girls are basically rotting they’re talents away doing nothing. So, I think H!P is only good at helping young girl’s careers ,Not Women. So, It’s in a way good that they’re not going to be in H!P idols anymore but moving on to other things. If anything it’s seems like H!P is restarting again or something. Like When Ai leaves MM she’ll be like the next Abe or something. And Buono will be the next Vuden but Cute.
