Mixed Feelings
I feel left out…. I mean, everyone is all excited and gearing up to go see Morning Musume in LA, and I’m stuck here in Japan….
I know, I know. I have seen Momusu multiple times in Japan, and will continue to do so for the next year or so. I have had the true MM concert experience surrounded by genuine wota. At the same time though, as an American, I really wish I could be part of the group to welcome Momusu to their first public appearance in America. And they’re signing autographs too! You have win win entry to autograph events if you’re in Japan! SO unfair!!! The fan meet up/ party ought to be lots of fun too. And I’m sure they will try to speak some English, which is bound to be cute or funny.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to reading all about it when you get back. Have a blast guys!

Actually you can’t even win entry to autograph events, the release events are just lives and handshakes.
You don’t get autographs period without paying the 2man for a fanclub giant poster (which is really nice, just waiting on Junjun)
So there is a lot of people being pissed (me included) because it is unfair treatment and UFA is probably being pushed into it by Japan Files and AX committees. I’ve never liked Japan files and seeing recently that they’re selling Platinum 9 for half the price it is in Japan (which seems really suspicious to me as there’s no way distributers would let it go for that much below normal cost) they are not going to help Musume’s image here. And whether the foreign fans going to LA feel that the wota matter or not, we do. I consider myself part of the Japanese wota now and without us musume would’ve died a long time ago. And most of my friends are fine with them not selling a million copies, idols aren’t expected to be million sellers.
If you’re going to be here another year why not join the fanclub so you can get tickets and stuff?
I kinda get it though - sort of like you’re in the right, but wrong place? I’m jealous though that you get to go to any of the concerts let alone Arashi’s 10th anniversary concert. I want to see that so badly and I am living here in Canada…make sure you enjoy it as much as you can. Ditto with Momusu concerts. You’re supporting them as best you can, wherever you are, ne?
If it makes you feel any better, I stood in line today for like 5 hours and still didn’t get an autograph ticket, so no autograph ticket for me. Only the super intense fans that waited more than 5 hours got tickets >< So lame…
There’s a ton of japanese wota here supporting the girls too
I’m hoping the concert tomorrow will be a blast!

“…it is unfair treatment and UFA is probably being pushed into it by Japan Files and AX committees. ”
All autograph events were special events approved by UFA for the fans at Anime Expo.
“…seeing recently that they’re selling Platinum 9 for half the price it is in Japan (which seems really suspicious to me as there’s no way distributers would let it go for that much below normal cost)”
The USA releases of PLATINUM 9 DISC and Shouganai Yumeoibito are officially licensed from UFA and printed in the USA. (The member cards for PLATINUM 9 DISC were imported from Japan and inserted into the USA release so they’d be guaranteed authentic.)
The goods on sale soon at HelloStoreUSA.com will be direct imports from UFA.
