Concert Plans

Published by celestia at 2:40 am under Momusu

Today is one of those obscure government holidays in Japan (I asked 3 Japanese people, and none of them could tell me what holiday it was. It’s that obscure), so I got the day off and decided to go out to Tokyo in search of Morning Musume concert tickets.

I was successful! I got myself a rather good seat for the 10/4 early show in Kanagawa. It’ll probably take me just under 2 hours to get there, but I wanted to go because

A. Love the setlist, and I just can’t wait

and

B. Love the concert T-shirts, and they usually sell out of size small midway through the tour, so the earlier I get to one, the better

I went to 2 shows of Momusu’s Fall 2008 tour and 3 of Spring 2009, so I figure I’d better shoot for 4 shows this time around. We’ll see though. I think Koharu’s graduation may drive up the price of the Tokyo show tickets quite a bit. I can do without seeing her graduation (I don’t like her enough for how expensive those tickets are going to be) but I’d like to try to get good seats to a couple of the other shows. Jya, wish me luck!

Maybe we could meet up in Kanagawa. I only have a ticket for the very last day (though I didn’t even try for the senshuuraku months ago as those are always impossible graduation or not) but I figure I might as well go and get some of the goods early before they add a shitload more.

Well depending on if I have money or not as that’s right before payday.

    21st - Keirou no Hi (respect-for-the-aged day)
22nd - kokumin no kyuujitsu (”weekday between two national holidays” day)
23rd - Shuubun no Hi (fall equinox)

@J “weekday between two national holidays” day. Now that’s an obscure holiday if I’ve ever heard one. Fall equinox too. Do I get spring equinox off?

@Alita- Meeting up would be cool. So you aren’t going to the concert in Kanagawa though? Just to buy goods and stuff? And by the last day, do you mean you’re going to Koha’s graduation?

I’ll be in town from 10/31-11/10, so if you want to see a show together, let me know.

Both equinoxes are national holidays, and in addition to the “between two holidays” rule, apparently there’s another one for “first business day after a holiday that fell on a Sunday” (furikae kyuujitsu). No wonder people have trouble remembering some of them!

Nope not going to Kanagawa. I mean I’ll probably go and get goods if i I meet up with you (well goods depending on money) but as I didn’t have money when I first applied for tickets I didn’t pay for the first tokyo run. But then I applied for the tsuika kouen and got last day afternoon. So not the graduation but the pre-graduation. Which is what I went to when Yossy grauated and they seem to usually do a mini grad at the afternoon show too. So I think that days tickets will go for pretty high. Which almost makes me want to just sell it and go to an earlier show but I have really good ticket luck (before mentioned front row at yokohama) so I’d rather just wait and see what I get.

I’ve never been to Yokosuka though so I figure going there just to be a kaijou-oshi (person who just hangs around the venu with the other wota but doesn’t have a ticket to the show) is fun enough.

cell email is li_musume@ezweb.ne.jp (don’t really care if it’s public as there’s not really much point to people emailing it who don’t live in Japan and spam is easily blocked)

Haven’t decided if I’ll go out to the area just to meet up an get goods. I really want to get goods so that’s my main reason for wanting to go. Though I wonder if I furikomi you money if you could pick some up. I just figure that it might be easier to get some now rather than waiting until end of the tour.

I’m in Kanagawa too but Yokosuka is the opposite end of the prefecture X_x so it’s about an hour trip. But it’s longer for you right? If you want someplace closer to stay you’re welcome to stay with me and head out in the morning.

Maybe I’ll try to get a ticket on auction as from what I heard from my friend about the Aichi concert this tour is great, and I’d rather go before the last day when you know Aichan will be bawling from the beginning.

Email me sometime or find me on facebook, Alita is my real name so I’m not hard to find. alita 87 @ gmail dot com.

@Cheryl, well the Buono concerts are in the end of December, but Musume finishes up beginning and winter concerts don’t start until the beginning of January.
