Meet the Eggs- Part 4

Published by celestia under Meet the Eggs, eggs, eye candy, video

More Eggs for your appraisal.

Name: Sengoku Minami

Age: 17

Units: Ongaku Gatas

Singing: 3. She has good range, but her voice is notably weak when compared with the other Eggs. She really needs to learn to project (and sing in tune more).

Stage Presence: 7. She’s not bad with this part, especially in more “seductive” songs.

Notes: She seems to be promoted more lately, getting many main lines and appearing in Berryz stage play, but she’s just not one of my favorites. *shrugs*

video- okay, she’s one of the two with the fancier dresses (the three in the middle are the newbies), and she’s the one of the two with straight hair and side-swept bangs. (Noto Arisa is the one with the curly hair and straight across bangs). There are 5 people, but the newbies don’t get any of the solo lines.

Name: Miyamoto Karin (sorry, no official pictures yet. she’s on the right)

Age: 9

Singing/Stage Presence: Way too soon to tell

Notes: The very newest baby Egg. Also the very youngest current member of h!p. She hasn’t appeared in anything yet, so all we know so far is that she’s seriously cute.

Name: Fukuda Kanon

Age: 13

Units: Shugo Chara Egg (the green one)

Singing: 9. One of the few Eggs who was a competent singer even back when they were all pretty rough around the edges. She’s only improved since then.

Stage Presence: 10. Just adorable, confident, and spunky. She looks like a little girl, but she performs like a veteran.

Notes: One of the most popular eggs, and she has a lot of on-stage experience outside of h!p (stage plays/musicals and such). Yeah, she looks a hell of a lot like a young Aibon, especially in her Shugo Chara get up. Let’s just hope that she doesn’t make the same life choices.

video- Kanon doing some ridiculously cute little rabbit dance with some preschoolers. <3 <3 <3

Name: Komine Momoka

Age: 14

Singing: 4. She’s gotten better, but I don’t see much real potential there.

Stage Presence: 3. Doesn’t stand out at all.

Units: None

Notes: I used to kind of dislike Momoka, maybe because I think she’s a little bit funny-looking, but she’s grown on me. That said, she’s just not one of eggs I see ever really going anywhere or getting much attention.

video- she’s the one in pink.

One more group to go!

Meet the Eggs- Part 3

Published by celestia under Meet the Eggs, eggs, eye candy, video

More Eggs for ya!

Name: Tanaka Anri

Age: 16

Units: None

Singing: 7, she’s good, but there isn’t anything very special about her voice

Stage Presence: 6, there’s something there, but she doesn’t really stand out

Notes: She’s one of the last eggs I learned to recognize. She’s another that has some talent but just seems to blend in with the crowd, unfortunately.

video- Same video as Kitahara Sayaka, so it’s embedded under her. Anri is the one in yellow.

Name: Sawada Yuri

Age:17

Units: Ongaku Gatas

Singing: 7, probably the strongest singer out of the gatas eggs

Stage Presence: 6, could be better, could be worse

Notes: She wasn’t in the Eggs latest concert tour DVD, but fortunately she is in Gatas.

video- Her version of Gatas “Come Together” PV

Name: Wada Ayaka (Dawa)

Age: 14

Units: Shugo Chara Egg

Singing: 2, I’m sorry to her fans, but she has the most annoying and childish voice out of all the eggs. Her singing stood out, in a very very bad way, in the Shugo Chara Egg single.

Stage Presence: 9, yeah, she’s cute and bouncy and a good dancer. Still doesn’t make up for that voice.

Notes: She has a funny and ditzy personality, and you can’t deny her good looks. I’m afraid I’ve developed a sort of grudge against her though because I can’t stand her voice. Maybe I’ll get over it. I did learn to love Sayumi eventually.

video- A solo? Ug. At least she sounds better than this than she does in Shugo Chara Egg.

Name: Kitahara Sayaka

Age: 15

Units: Milky Way

Singing: 8, Sayaka has a very strong and distinctive voice. She can be brilliant at times, but she’s lacking in control.

Stage Presence: 9, she is fierce on stage. No wonder the wota call her Sayaka-sama.

Notes: What can I say. I luv this girl!

video- She’s the one in blue with her hair half up. Remember this video is for Anri too (in yellow)

Name: Kaneko Rie

Age: 11

Singing/Stage Presence: Too soon to tell.

Notes: Another brand new little cutey. She makes really adorable expressions sometimes, and I look forward to seeing what she can do.

Meet The Eggs- Part 2

Published by celestia under Meet the Eggs, eggs, eye candy, video

Heading off the next set of Eggs we have…

Name: Saho Akari

Age: 13

Units: Shugo Chara Egg (the blue one), Tomoiki wo Utetai

Singing: 7, She really surprised me with her solo lines in the Shugo Chara Egg group. She probably sounded the best of the four of them. She’ll have to prove herself able to replicate that live before I’ll want to bump her up another point though.

Stage Presence: 4, Akari always fades into the background when she’s with a group of eggs. I’m really fond of the girl, but sometimes even I have a lot of trouble spotting her. I can’t pinpoint anything she’s doing wrong, but I’ll have to knock off points for that.

Notes: She’s a good egg, maybe not the best, but there is something very likable and relatable about her.

video- this is just the Shugo Chara Egg PV, since I think it shows some of Akari’s best singing. To remind you again, she’s the blue one (amulet spade)

Name: Takeuchi Akari

Age: 11 (she has the same birthday as me!)

Singing/Stage Presence: Too soon to tell…

Notes: One of the brand new Eggs, so I don’t know much about her yet. I’ve got a good feeling about this one though. Despite her age and inexperience, she seems very comfortable on stage and in front of the camera, already showing more spunk than many of the girls who have been doing this for years.

Name: Sainen Mia

Age: 15

Units: None

Singing: It’s hard to tell. She wasn’t in the last 2 concerts, and she hardly ever seems to get any solo lines in gereral

Stage Presence: 2, To be brutally honest, I tend to forget that she even exists. Her movements are kind of subdued, and she looks lost a lot of the time, but she does seem to have a nice smile.

Notes: I’m not trying to be mean to Mia, but as far as eggs who get pushed to the back, she seems to be one of the pushed to the backest. I mean, in the delivery station that she participated in (with only 5 other girls), she managed to get all of 1, single, short solo line. One.

Video: No video because she hasn’t been in the most recent concerts, and I can’t find any video clips where she has more than one solo line. If anyone has a link to one it would be appreciated though.

Name: Kikkawa Yuu

Age: 16

Units: Milky Way

Singing: 10, in the short time she’s been in the Eggs she’s easily become one of their best vocalists. Hearing her sing in this video clip makes me mourn anew the fact that she didn’t make it into Momusu (not instead of Aika, with her). You know Tsunku, it’s not too late!

Stage Presence: 5, still lacking a bit in that department, but getting better. Needs to show more personality

Notes: Seriously, just listen to her.

video- She’s the one in red. The other girl (Sekine Azusa) is also great, but let’s focus on Kikka for now.

Name: Furukawa Konatsu

Age: 16

Units: Tomoiki wo Uetai

Singing: 5, She’s not terrible, but she’s certainly not one of the best

Stage Presence: 9, She really knows how to ham it up on stage, and she can pull off ’sexy’ for the more serious songs too. The only problem is that she seems to overact it sometimes.

video- she’s wearing the same top as in the picture I posted of her

I’m serious about that test guys,

Meet the Eggs- Part 1

Published by celestia under Meet the Eggs, eggs, eye candy, video

Too long I’ve been hearing h!p fans complain about how they can’t tell the Eggs apart, so I’m going to try to put a stop to that with this new feature. The Eggs are on their second concert DVD release now, they’ve been in 4 major h!p units (Milky Way, High King, Ongaku Gatas and Shugo Chara Egg), and they’re definitely getting more attention at the Wonderful Hearts concerts, being given real singing lines for the first time. The Eggs are going places for real now, especially with Elder Club graduating. In my last post, I predicted that they would soon become something akin to H!p’s answer to AKB48, and I stand by that prediction.

In short, it’s about time you all figured out who they are, so I’m going to profile them here in groups of 4 or 5. These are in no particular order.

Singing and stage presence are rated on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the best (in Egg terms). So let’s jump right in with one of the best known eggs…

Name: Maeda Yuuka

Age: 13 (almost 14)

Units: High King, Shugo Chara Egg (the pink one), Tomoeki wo Uetai

Singing: 8, she’s developed good control, and lost most of the childish tone lately (check out the video), but her voice is still really lacking in power. Despite that, has quickly become one of the better Egg vocalists.

Stage Presence: 7, good dancer (held her own with High King) just needs that extra pop of energy

Notes: If there is one only egg you can recognize, it should probably be her. She’s the only Egg to be in two non-indie units to date, and she’s one of the cutest eggs, maybe even the cutest.

Name: Maeda Irori (there’s two Maedas’. Don’t get confused!)

Age: 11

Units: None yet

Singing: 6, I thought she was one of the weakest singers, but she surprised me at the most recent concert. Her voice was pretty good on both the video I’ve embedded and the ZYX Fly High. I think as she grows older we can expect to see her voice improve even more.

Stage Presence: 8, charming and energetic

Notes: Originally entered h!p with SI*NA (Kansai unit) and did activities with them before moving to Tokyo. I’ve put up a picture of Irori with her hair down, but keep in mind that usually she wears it in bicycle-handlebar pigtails, making her look years younger. Watch the video for her more typical hairstyle. I’d say that Irori is one to watch. She’s mostly been in the background up until now, but her being given the lead part on this song may be sign that we’ll see more of her in the future.

Video -she’s the one usually in the center with round things on her hair ties, singing Mai’s lines

Name: Mori Saki (usually called Morisaki)

Age:15

Units: Tomoeki wo Uetai

Singing: 4, her voice is very flat (vibrattoless) which makes her one of the less pleasing eggs to listen to, and she cuts off her notes too early

Stage Presence: 6, makes strange exaggerated faces sometimes (and is the egg in charge of doing ‘the face’ in Love Machine), funny

Notes: Well, not one of the stand out eggs in my book, but she seems like a nice girl.

Video- she’s the one wearing red

Name: Fukumura Mizuki

Age: 12

Singing/Stage Presence: Too soon to tell…

Notes: One of the four brand new eggs, so I haven’t seen much of her yet. All I can say for now is that she’s quite pretty and she was crying a lot after finishing her first concert tour (awww).

Name: Ogawa Saki (Sakitty)

Age: 12

Units: None yet

Singing: 10. There’s a reason she’s so prominently featured in the egg concerts and why she got so sing a trio with LinLin and Airi in the latest h!p concert

Stage Presence: 9. Despite being so tiny, she can even hold her own in mature songs

Notes: Why this girl hasn’t been in a unit yet is anyone’s guess. I think we’re all assuming that Tsunku has big plans for her in the future.

Video- um, she’s the one who’s not LinLin or Airi

Study hard! There will be a test!,

Catching Up

Published by celestia under Momusu, berryz, buono, c-ute, eggs, eye candy

Hello! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve had some friends from America staying with me, and they’ve kept me pretty busy, but they’re gone now, so I’m free to catch up with my blogging again.

The one good thing (from this blog’s perspective) about my friends visiting, was that when we were wandering harajuku, I happened upon Ameba Studios. It took me forever to remember where I knew that name from, but then I realized that it’s the radio studio with a window to the public, so people can see celebrities being interviewed, and that h!p girls sometimes go there.

There were autographed Polaroids of everyone who’s been there recently in the window, so I took pictures of the h!p big 3.

Window

MM (partial)

Berryz

C-ute

Now some super-quick reactions to other recent news.

Shugo Chara Egg PV- Cuuuuuuuuuuute, and more effort seems to have gone into it than I expected. Unfortunately, just as I thought, Wada Ayaka is far and away the worst singer of the 4.

New MM Single- Awesome! I’m glad we don’t have to wait forever for this one.

New Buono single/album and new C-ute album- Cool I guess, but in all 3 cases already??

Kaorin’s baby died- Losing a young child is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a person. My prayers go out to her and her family.

Cover You Album- Maybe it’s because it lacks nostalgia for me, but I’m just not super into that early Japanese pop music. Not MM’s fault. Their singing was lovely, especially Gaki-san (everywhere) and the pandas (on that samba song). Getting beyond impatient for MM to release a real album.

Egg Concert DVD- Wow! Dramatic improvement from their first concert DVD on all counts. Getting some concert experience has done them good. More and more I am wondering if the Eggs are going to stop being considered “trainees” and start being considered “H!p’s answer to lotsa member idol groups like AKB48 and Idoling”. I predict that in the next year or two the Eggs are going to become even more prominent, forming many temporary subgroups (like Shugo Chara Egg), but generally remaining as one large performing unit and even releasing group singles as “Hello Pro Eggs”.

Bikkuri Project’s one year anniversary passed a while ago and I didn’t even notice- I’ll make sure to get a cake next year!

I think that’s everything of dire importance. I’m already working on a “best of the year” post for later.

6Gatsu Akasaka Hop

Published by celestia under eggs, reviews, video

Pretty pictures next time. I’ve found some videos, and it’s time for egg watch!

The videos are clips of performances from the h!p eggs concert this June. I really enjoy watching our eggs progress, so these were of considerable interest to me.

I’ll say that the eggie-pies look considerably more polished and professional than they did when they started having their own concerts. Their vocals are better too….but still leave something to be desired for many of the girls. It also helps that they seem to be going to the trouble of making them some of their own costumes instead of just giving them hand-me-downs now.

Links First

Video 1: Pre-concert cheering, Koisuru Angel Heart

Video 2: clips of The Peace, Koi wo Shichaimashita, Shiawase desu ka?, Sukiyaki, Piriri to Yukou, Agenai Nagai Nichiyoubi, Anataboshi

Video 3: 3 new eggs introduction, clips of First Kiss, Sukina Sempai, Crazy About You, I Know, Anshinkan, Rai Rai Shinfuu!, Chokotto Love, Yeah Meccha Holiday

Video 4: Dreamin’

Huzzah! Now it’s itty-bitty concert review time. Which eggs stood out and which were a bit rotten? Read on to find out!

Koisuru Angel Heart (All): Who sang that first solo line? These videos have an unfortunate tendancy to not show the girl who’s currently singing a solo line, and I’m not good enough to identify the eggs by voice. Anyway, their costumes are waaay cute. I didn’t hear anything vocally horrible, which cannot be said about their first and only full concert DVD. Best solo line probably was Ogawa Saki, proving that even though she’s tiny, she fully deserves that front and center spot.

The Peace (All): Nice! The Eggs have really developed more stage presence. I’ve seen less enthusiastic “The Peace” performances from the Berryz/Cute contingents. Yuu and Enna both did quite well with their solo lines. One of my favorite parts of these videos.

Koi wo Shichaimashita (Maeda Yuuka, Wada Ayaka, Mori Saki, Noto Arisa) Hmm. Still really unimpressed with Wada Ayaka’s singing. Still unsure why she was put into a unit.

Shiawase Desuka? (Kitahara Sayaka, Furukawa Konatsu, Fukada Kanon, Sengoku Minami) From this short clip, I’d say all four of these ladies did an awesome job! Saaya is full of sexy confidence, and her solo lines were strong, so I’d give her the “standout” award.

Sukiyaki (Gatas eggs, Kikkawa Yuu, Komine Momoka, Ogawa Saki) Kinda bored. Not much to say.

Piriri to Yukou (Aoki Erina, Tanaka Anri, Saho Akari, Sainen Mia, Okai Asuna, Sekine Azusa, Maeda Irori, Arai Manami) Cute, but some of the groups sound a little “shouty” instead of “singy”.

Agenai Nagai Nichiyoubi (Maeda Yuuka solo) I don’t think Yuuka has the vocal stregnth to sing an entire solo song. At least she’s still cute as a button.

Anataboshi (Kikkawa Yuu, Kitahara Sayaka) Hey look, a Kirarin group singing live!! This must be a really hard song to sing live though. There’s not much room to breath, and they both sound pretty out of breath. Still much improved by the absence of Koharu though.

First Kiss (Ogawa Saki) She doesn’t quite hit the falsetto, but no one in h!p but Airi can really get that part right. The rest is solid. This girl’s got the star power.

Sukina Sempai (Sadawa Yuri, Tanaka Anri, Wada Ayaka, Saho Akari) Sigh. I really don’t want to dislike Ayaka, but I think she’s the worst singer out of the eggs who tend to get solo lines. Saho Akari did the best this time. I don’t think she’ll ever be fronting a group or singing solo, but I’m becoming quite fond of her somehow.

Crazy About You (Mori Saki, Sengoku Minami) Hmm. Not terrible, not great. I’ve noticed that Mori Saki has a tendancy to slip into the “man voice” sometimes. Sengoku Minami seems to be the better singer out of the pair. Probably her experience with Gatas has done her good.

I Know (Furukawa Konatsu, Both Sakis, Maeda Yuuka, Fukada Kanon, Komine Momoka, Wada Ayaka, Saho Akari) No complaints here.

Anshinkan (Fukada Kanon, Sekine Azusa) Sounds good. When did Kanon become Aibon’s younger sister? It’s spooky.

Rai Rai Shinfuu (Everyone not in the last 2 songs) Big group performance, so no real standouts.

Chokkoto Love (All) Hey, they’re trying to be like real cheerleaders or something! No spinning basket tosses out of those lifts though. C’mon! Those girls have got to weigh like 30 pounds. You should be able to throw them no problem!

Yeah Meccha Holiday (All) They still seemed “high tension” from their cheerleader routine. Love Yuu’s little glance at the camera during her “Ah”. Ogawa Saki shines on her solo line again.

Dreamin’ (All) Isn’t this supposed to be something to do with Ongaku Gatas? That makes it an odd choice for a closing song. I guess it has that “closing” feel to it though. Noto Arisa is seriously pumped about this one.

I notice that there are certain eggs who were not featured for a single solo line in these clips. Those being Sainen Mia, Komine Momoka, Maeda Irori, Okai Asuna, and Arai Manami. I guess it’s pretty easy to see who’s on the bottom of the basket right now. The last 3 can blame it on their being really young still, but I don’t know about the other two. I might just quit if I were them, because I’d put their odds of ever being in a unit as slim to none right now.

So in summary, it does show that these girls have had a lot more dance training than vocal training. Their dancing is right on, while their singing sometimes just isn’t. However, it also shows that they have finially been working on their live vocals through these concerts and their other singing events, and progress is evident.

This is Egg Watch signing off, for now.

More Happy Egg News

Published by celestia under eggs

I’m late commenting on this, I’m fully aware, but my computer was only today restored to function, and I’m excited about this, so I’m going to comment about some old news.

Here’s one of those pictures that’s floating around to remind you of what we’re talking about here.

Shugo Chara Egg!

There has been a lot of speculation about which eggs will make up the group, and now that we know, I’ll say that I’m…mostly pleased. Let’s go over who made the cut.

Fukada Kanon-An ovbious choice for this unit if you ask me. Despite being only 13, Kanon has already developed the full idol skill set: dancing, charisma, and singing. In fact, she has one of the strongest voices out of all the eggs.

Maeda Yuuka- Another easy choice. Having already distinguished herself by holding her own in a unit with some of the top names in h!p today (High King), Yuuka has rapidly risen to become one of the most popular eggs. It doesn’t hurt that she might just be the cutest of the eggs too.

Wada Ayaka- Hmmm. Ayaka is cute and spunky, but I just don’t know if she is really ready to be put in a unit yet. From what I’ve seen of her performing, she’s still pretty rough around the edges, especially vocally. Her singing in her “Egg Delivery Station” was..to be blunt…pretty bad.

Saho Akari- Akari doesn’t really stand out among the eggs, but I think her inclusion in this unit makes sense. She seems to be a solid little performer, so while she lacks the “star potential” brought by Kanon and Yuuka, I think she’ll make a great supporting player and group member.

There’s some poor quality fan recordings of the live event for their new single on youtube. HERE is one of them. The song is disgustingly cute. I can’t wait for the PV! Best of luck to this new unit.

C-U,

This Post Will Turn Into a Pumpkin at the Stroke of Midnight

Published by celestia under Momusu, berryz, c-ute, eggs, video

I know full well that everyone and their dog is going to be rushing to comment on the new High King PV, but what the hell, I guess if you’re bored with hearing about it you don’t hate to read this. First, let’s look at the PV if you haven’t seen it yet.

I’ll say right up front that I like this a lot, but it inspires many unanswered questions.

-How did this unit get the best H!P PV of the year so far? Leaders/captain pulling strings perhaps?

-How did Reina end up being the focus of a PV with both Ai-chan and Maimi in it?

-Could Maeda Yuuka be any cuter?

-I’m not the only one getting very strong “7 Air” vibes from the set-up of this song, am I? Ai-chan, Reina, and Yuuka are the “sexy” part and Maimi and Saki are the “cool” part, right?

-Speaking of that, why is Yuuka dressed like Saki and Maimi? The only time they split into two groups, she’s singing the “nana” part with Ai-chan and Reina, not the rap part.

-Does this group qualify as a full fledged shuffle unit? It draws members from 4 different h!p factions, but on the other hand, there’s only one of them rather than the traditional three. Could they possibly be testing the market for the return of the shuffle units?

-Will this song be integrated into the Cinderella musical in any way? As an encore perhaps?

Poof!

Not Quite Love at First Sight

Another cross-over post. You have been warned. There’s more h!p so it goes here.

I’ve got to admit, I’m kind of brutal with music. When I get a new album or single or whatever, the first thing I do is listen to all of the songs once or twice through and sort them into two categories. Either they go into the NEW section of the “My Music” folder or to the “Other” folder, which is a dumping ground for things I’m not sure I want to get rid of, but I’m not sure I want to keep either. The “My Music” songs in the new folder get listened to regularly until I’m no longer being obsessive about them at which point they are moved to the appropriate permanent folder, sorted by group, where they will still be listened to, but not as often. Songs that go to the “Other” folder are largely forgotten about until something prompts me to dig them up again. When I say I’m brutal about my sorting, I mean it. It’s not uncommon for entire albums to end up in the “other” folder, and even with my favorite groups, it’s rare that more than 3 or so songs on an album make the cut.

That’s not to say that I never change my mind. I will occasionally go back and give albums or songs another chance, just in case, and I usually find some songs that didn’t impress me much on the first listen, but are great on the second. Also, watching a good live performance of a song is often all it takes to change my mind about it. So, out of my more recent diggings through my reject folder, here are some of my “New” discoveries.

Koi Uranai Toori ni wa Naranaiwa- Ongaku Gatas Album
I’m ashamed to admit that I kind of blew off the entire 1st Goodsal album when it came out. Something about Gatas and their music style just doesn’t sit right with me. It might have been Mutou Mika, I dunno, but interestingly enough, she’s the one who inspired me to give this song another listen. I noticed that it is the only song on the entire album where she has any sort of solo line (for a grand total of 5 words), and I wanted to hear what her voice sounded like. Not surprisingly, she’s no Ayaya, but surprisingly, I found myself liking the song. Not the best singing (it’s all the eggs), but it’s got a nice melody.

Fight All Night, KT-
I was resisting this song for a very long time for a very dumb reason; I think the title is stupid. There are several songs I have excluded from my files over the years because I’m embarrassed to listen to something with such a lame English title (MM’s ‘Nature is Good’ comes to mind). However, on reassessment, I’m forced to admit that the part in the beginning where they kind of computerize a few words of Jin and Kame’s voices is rather cool, and they don’t say “Fight all Night” that often, so I have begrudgingly promoted it to the My Music folder.

Dekiru Onna, MM (c/w to Ai Araba)-
B-sides are always at a big disadvantage when it comes to making the list, especially when they are the coupling for a single that I really like. I love Ai Araba so much that almost any coupling track would pale in comparison. So, I brushed off Dekiru Onna as being too slow and kind of strange and forgot about it….until the Sexy8Beat concert. The girls were all sweaty and lethargic, and somehow it was the sexiest performance of a concert with the word “sexy” right in the title! The last line where Rika (Aika in the concert) gets cut off is awesome. This isn’t standard MM, but it’s certainly worth more than one listen. 45 second performance clip! Short for easy viewing.

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Rock You- Arashi, TIME album
What a deceptive title. There’s nothing “Rock” about this song at all. Without a doubt, it was the live performance from the TIME concert DVD that made me like it. Turns out that while I don’t care for the chorus much, I LOVE the verses. The song starts with the chorus, so I probably stopped paying atention at that point when I first heard it. I really hope that this is an Arashi album track that they’ll be bringing back sometime. Also, I like the little Ohmiya moment in this song. You can see better in the larger version, but I swear, Nino has a certain way of smiling that you only see around Oh-chan. Doesn’t he look downright proud? Anyway, this part of the song is really nice, isn’t it? 30 second clip!

Online Videos by Veoh.com

Sayonara Hageshiki Koi, Berryz-
It is a mystery to me why this song didn’t make it through the first time around. Did I accidentally skip it or something? I watched the “Welcome Berryz Kyuuden” concert and was like, “What is this song?? It rocks!” You know, it might even be my favorite Berryz album song now. I’ll have to think about that though…

I suppose the lesson here is that it might be worth your time to give songs a second chance. Something that didn’t really grab you at first may end up becoming one of your favorite songs!

Keep on Rockin’,

Goodbye Mucchi

Published by celestia under Personal, eggs

I haven’t been around much lately, have I? I do have a good excuse though. We’re entering into finals week at my school, so I’ve been very very busy trying to graduate. It’s important that I do so, because if I don’t graduate, I don’t get to go to Japan, and if I don’t get to go to Japan I don’t get to go to concerts in Japan, and if I don’t get to go to concerts in Japan I will be so utterly disappointed that I probably won’t even bother defending myself when my mom comes to kill me for wasting all the money they spent on tuition by coming out without a degree.

I do feel obliged to take note of the fact that Mika Mutou is leaving both Ongaku Gatas and H!P. It’s no secret that Mucchi has not been my favorite h!p member. In fact, it’s fair to say that she’s been my least favorite h!p member. However, the announcement of her departure has made me like her just a bit more. She evidently realized that there is no future for her in the idol industry (and you’re just kidding yourself if you really think otherwise), and so she made the wise decision to exit gracefully. I respect her for that. She was lacking in looks, charm, and vocal ability, but apparently not in brains. I still kind of hate Mucchi the idol, but I wish Mika Mutou the person all the best with wherever her future takes her.

I wonder though, is Ongaku Gatas over? It’s been a while since they released anything, they’ve lost two members, and Arisa Noto is going to be busy with that new Happy Style unit now, so who knows how long she’ll stick around.

To Mika!

PS. As long as we’re talking about eggs, I added a new poll. Vote for your favorite Egg! I added the girls who seem to be the most visible, but if your favorite isn’t on the list, feel free to add her! Remember that Erina and Miki aren’t eggs anymore, so please don’t add them!
