a year in the making

Wow, so it’s been a year and boylikesmusic is still up and running. It’s 00:42 right now and I’ll ~hopefully~ make a more elaborate post to celebrate the birthday. I won’t bother going too in depth about what I’ve done in the past year since I’ll be starting an annual round up closer to the end of the year. Stay tuned for the festivities!

Just giving props to the new theme made by The Master Plan called “The Morning After”. I modified the colours and some of the theme functionality to fit my needs.

I think it looks pretty slick. What do you think?

I have 4 articles in draft and can’t seem to find any spare time to work on them.

It’s been a busy few weeks here at blmHQ. Life’s happening. Darn you, life.

Hey guys, here’s another total aside from everything music related again and just a few stats for people who enjoy that kind of thing. I’ve officially hit over 1000 unique visits as of August 23rd which clocked in at 1,016 visitors at the end of the day. I didn’t notice this earlier because that weekend, probably at that exact time, I was doing my first (and probably only) attempt at Century Club which I did complete and attained “Grand Master” status (no throwing up throughout the entire game).

For everyone who’s been with me since the blogger days and when I got my first article on IW, thanks for sticking around! :) Thanks for making my hobbies worth while. And here’s to 1000 more visitors! *cheers*

A month has passed since I’ve moved over to the green pastures of International Wota webspace. boylikesmusic on Blogger opened in December 9th, 2007 and closed July 6th, 2008. From December 9th to now, blm on Blogger has received 1,915 page loads. From the time blm on IW started on July 6th to now, it’s received 1,979 page loads. boylikesmusic on IW did what blm on Blogger in a month compared to 7 months. Of course not all of these page loads are legitimate visitors but still, it makes me happy to see my baby growing up.

I’d just like to thank all the readers and those interested in the semi-original content produced and released on this site. Comments really do help and I’m open to everything, though since I’m not getting a lot of comments on my work, it must mean I’m doing something right that people don’t feel the need to change. Tee hee. Glass half full ftw.

We live in a world where everything is just minutes away via pointing and clicking. Maybe not minutes depending on file sizes but you get what I mean. The Internet unites all of us bloggers and music lovers in ways that not possible. Thanks to the web 2.0 explosion, everyone and their grandmas have blogs, web albums, a video uploaded on youtube, whatever. But screw web 2.0. I’m going back to 1988 for this post.

As you may or may not know, I’m a contributor for International Wota and am a regular at the chatroom we have on the rizon servers.
