Real Life, Net Life… Aibon Life and Idol Life

…and more so than just the typical self-examination. (Especially that’s been going on lately.) Jinryuichi talks about life’s demands on his time keeping him away from stuff he still cares about and in some cases finding he cares about certain things less. On top on this, server problems have closed the HNPH site, so he’s doing most of his talking from the old Blogspot.

He mentions Kago’s blog ultimately being an inspiration after thinking he didn’t care much about her anymore since she was no longer an idol. She’s an interesting case and I love her blog because she had said in interviews that she was forced into being her idol personna somewhat, but when you read her blog, she seems like the same old Aibon you always (thought) you knew. This is interesting to me that she was previously unhappy forcing herself to act like herself basically. This maybe is an example for everyone to think about. (But not too much!)

Almost An Epiphany

I read the first line as “I sat on her lap” at first…it’s not quite that bad, and we may all be a little deranged lately, but Ray describes perhaps what you call a wota “moment of clarity”. I wouldn’t tho. I’m fairly prone to these moments of questioning the purpose of whatever myself, but it actually happens least with idol pop. They want to entertain, we want to be entertained. They do it, we watch it, we like it. It’s more likely at a rock show where the band and the audience look like they’ve been forced there at gunpoint, or at an avant-garde performance where a grown man is playing solo kazoo for an hour with utmost serious that I begin to question the course of human evolution. Now that’s silly.

MB’s happy Easter is terrifying me, and I certainly can’t recommend this. When I was a child I used to have nightmares about Rodger rabbit scaring the crap out of me, So whilst Fukakyon’s having fun with water guns and men wearing rabbit heads, I’m going bonkers for all the wrong reasons. MB, buddy, you should’ve stuck with the Shibata Ayumi idea.

The Crying Game Question

This afters post on AW has been up and running for a short while now, and the responses alone have me in stitches. Think the ‘Crying game’, but with Ray, Megukami - formerly of C-ute fame - and Say! Hey! Jump’s Yamada Ryosuke and you have some twisted to s*** dilemma, for Ray at least. So could you love, or make love to a man who looks like the women of your dreams?

Keeping my feet on slippery ground rather than a sea of sharks like Ray here, I’ll stick to considering raping hugging AAA’s Nissy who just looks like a girl, rather than a famous pretty boy who looks like a famous pretty girl I want to get with.

A special thanks to Craig’s rather stark but deeply witty comment. Short and bloody sweet. Garamon’s is just plain sick, but you know it’d score him top marks at any H!P drunkfest (eh?). CJ’s might be the most relatable, Jim has a dig at you know who, and Otingocni’s comment is actually well-considered as far as this topic goes. Pengie’s just stumbled in with laughs, and Henkka and broomhead could say the same.

So, the innocent should keep away. Seriously. But I’ve just got back from a night shift and it’s 5.30am. This is exactly the type of read I need right now. So whilst Ray considers doing a dude who looks a tad too much like Megukami, and ponders on whether the concept of…ahem, could translate to ‘women’ like Amuro Namie, it’s just good mental fun. Highly recommended reading, but you’ve been warned.

I won’t be deleting old posts, but I’m very tired of this situation and Julia’s an editor whose wishes I respect and I had made clear I was open to the idea of stopping AV Idol coverage in the first place before the Christmas meltdown ensued. I’m the only one who does such write-ups, so it’s not like I’m clamping down on anyone.
