[Cake Day] nakimushi SHONEN Has Belated Cake Day Videos

Recommended Eating. Hanachan greets IW with a lovely looking Buono! themed cake to match her Buono! themed blog. In addition to the lovely cake, Hanachan has documented the creation of her cake… Not through photos like most of us other bloggers did, but with a video! :) Well, 2 videos – part one being the making of the cake and part 2 being the decorating.

The gel Miya, Momoko and Airi are adorable (even though the colours got mixed up XD)! And her banter with her brother was amusing. I definitely know what that’s like. Thanks for the cake Hanachan!

Happy 2nd Birthday IW (Slasha’s Tatami Mat)

Recommended eating. Slasha’s a little late to the party, but it’s better late than never, right? Due to technical difficulties of uploading his own cake photo, he has a photo of another cake surrounded by numerous Hello! Project photos and memorabilia.

He keeps his greeting short and sweet, wishing IW a happy birthday and looking forward to the upcoming year. He ends the post with some pic spam of a few H!P girls joining in on the celebration.

Recommended eating.  MB has finally unlocked her cake day post, which she actually wrote a couple of days ago.  In typical MB “Super Kawaii” fashion, she documents the process of coming up with a “cake day” concept, and finally pan fry’s us a beautiful crepe.  The Magic Pan has nothing on this girl!!!  Like me, MB has a natural disdain for cakes and sweets.  But we both “took one for the team” in the spirit of the occasion.  Oh MB, you are so silly!!!

Now back to your regularly scheduled IW programming!

Happy 2nd B-day IW (Berryz Kobo International)

Recommended Eating.  Like many raging parties, this one has dragged on to a 3rd day.  Man, am I hungover!  Zush and his BK girls send their best wishes to IW, and Zush reminisces about the early days when Ray was just a “young pup” with his Cult of Pop blog.  By the way, Maasa looks more than hawt with the nerdy glasses.  And although there is no real cake in the post (unless you count Lego), the presence of Berryz Kobo looking adorable still gets the “recommended eating” recommendation…for obvious reasons!

Happy Birthday IW! (And an announcement~!) (Midori’s J-pop Overanalyzations)

Recommended Eating. Being a victim of the whole, family members on diets so you can’t enjoy anything good in life curse, I totally understand why an original cake was not made for the Cake Day 2009 celebrations. However, Midori posts a nice looking picture of possibly the cutest cake I’ve ever seen. Also, Midori comments on coming back after not posting for a while with a P9D review and something to do with the 2009 winter concerts. Keep an eye out for those!

Time And Relative iDols In Space (The J-Pex)

Recommended Eating.  Pex has managed to combine Cake Day, J-pop and a love for Doctor Who all into one post!  Believe it or not, it actually makes perfect sense as many sci-fi series have as many, if not more rabid fans than J-pop idols.  And I have seen some very “creative cakes”, but this one is in the shape of Doctor Who’s TARDIS?  Wow!!!  Hmmm, I wonder if that means the inside of the cake expands to contain a lot more filling?  Pex also talks about how sites like ours not only spread the word of the music we love, but also gives people the opportunity to make some great friends.  I’ll eat to that!

Cake Day!  Two years. (JKC – Revolution)

Recommended Eating.  Sarah wanted to outdo her Cake Day celebration from last year.  So she has made a cake to celebrate the festivities.  And she has also uploaded a video of herself enjoying it, and wishing our site a happy second anniversary.  BTW, I love hearing how people say “International Wota”.  It’s kind of an awkward phrase when you think about it.  But Sarah says it so eloquently…I love it!

Happy Birthday Intl Wota! (Aitakatta!)

Recommended Eating.  It just wouldn’t be cake day without our favorite girls from Akihabara joining in the festivites.  Cat along with her AKB48 friends wish the site a happy second anniversary with crepes. ice cream, birthday bentos, mile-high sandwiches, flowers, mimosas…and of course it wouldn’t be a celebration without cake, which is baked proudly by Team B.

I love Cat’s post just as much as last years’.  She always does a great job of mixing cake day, eyecandy, and fanservice…Yatta!

The Cake I Made Was Strange… (Tsuykoi de Yukoze!)

Recommended Eating. Setting aside various obvious pie jokes, my favorite  kind of pie is definitely pumpkin – perhaps because I was born in October? Anyways, it’s a very pleasant surprise to see a luscious slice of pumpkin pie included for this year’s festivities. Now I’m tempted to go to the store tomorrow and get one for myself.

Recommended Eating. Ahh, the nostalgia of it! Amyrulez reminisces on how he first came onto the Intl Wota scene – the same day he discovered Jpop! He then describes how he “annoyed” me and maiZe into covering his blog. Of course, it wasn’t an annoyance – Intl Wota works both ways, we help the bloggers and the bloggers help us. We complete each other, Amyrulez. Complete each other. And he knows it too, based on the fulsome account of his immersion in the IW world and his friendship with its various wretched denizens.

That said, Amyrulez has no cake to offer… but really, it’s the thought that counts! And it’s a sweet thought – perhaps annoyingly so? No, just sweet.
