Jostein, as well as another contributor named prodygee, has a blog/site that, in its own words, provides “yagoodness for everyone”. If you couldn’t tell from that or by the domain name - in which case, we have a problem - this place is dedicated to former Morning Musume member Yaguchi Mari. There are neat features here beyond the blog entries, with a calendar of what Mari is up to as well what is essentially an imageboard (and hooray for that!)

The latest entry here is by prodygee and is a review for the latest episode of Yaguchi Hitori (Maru C). Maybe this show is one that I should be paying more attention to. Let’s just look at what prodygee says, right off the bat, about this episode:

To make it even better, Yaguchi starts shaking a little and shows us her stomach.. is this what I think it is? Her stomach looks kinda swollen. Don’t worry, that’s not it.. Yaguchi says she made her breasts look bigger (?!?!).

Awesome.

An earlier entry by Jostein links to a Hello!Online post by sludgetrap, which has a ridiculous amount of YAGOODNESS on Youtube. For what it is worth, I would rather watch Yatube than Moutube.

Love Sayaka

If you’re anything like me, you’re enchanted by Milky Way’s spunky, Eririn-looking Egg, Sayaka Kitahara. This fansite is a nice little destination for those who want to get some info on the future superstar (unless UFW has other plans…not unheard of) and ogle some great pics in the process. I’m highly amused to find that her favorite color is “strong pink”. Maybe that’s just me.

Unsubstantiated rumor of the day: K-Pop star Rain to appear on ‘The Colbert Report’ 4/28?
RAIN will go to STEPHEN COLBERT show in NY

No Fact Zone, the biggest Stephen Colbert fansite, as well as Rain’s members-only American fan blog (as reposted for everyone to see in the second link), is reporting that Korean pop star Rain (or Bi, if you prefer) may be on the April 28 episode The Colbert Report. This has yet to be confirmed by Comedy Central or by Rain, but if this is true…wow!

For those not in the know, Stephen and Rain have a long standing feud, stemming from the Time 100 as voted on by the people. Rain came in first last year, with Stephen in second, prompting Stephen to make this video, a parody of Rain’s video for “How To Avoid The Sun”. The Time 100 voting has come again, and Rain and Stephen’s fans are in fierce competition. Rain appears in the upcoming Speed Racer movie, so stopping off at the Colbert Report for promotion doesn’t sound that unlikely.

All Because of Avril Lavigne

Recommended reading. The news that Avril Lavigne is going to write (or at least be given songwriting credit alongside Butch Walker on) the forthcoming Puffy AmiYumi single “All Because of You”, isn’t sitting well with many Puffy fans, including Jeff at the Puffy blog AmiYumidas. Jeff links several other reactions (including a thread about the single and collaboration at fan site PuffyAmiYumiWorld.com and this editor’s “nasty and NSFW blog post” on the subject) to back up his assertion that Avril isn’t qualified to be involved with anything within a 100-mile radius of Puffy, and also advises Ami and Yumi not to make a big deal out of the collaboration because of Avril’s repeatedly tarnished reputation.

Recommended reading. Some Boys! has announced a new website started by one of their readers, Iceymoon. This website, GOMAKI GANBARE is set on organizing H!P and Maki Goto fans to gather and show their support for Maki as she seems to be setting up for a comeback into the entertainment industry with her popping up in LA. Here’s a quick rundown of the aims of the day taken from Some Boys!:

The two primary aims of GG Day are:

1. To use this opportunity as a way to find other fans in our areas; the H!P community thus far does not have any large-scale organized gatherings, which is unfortunate seeing as how fans tend to be big fans and so we’d have a lot to talk about and do together.

2. To get the news of this day to Goto Maki herself; this way we have the opportunity to demonstrate to her how fans outside of Japan (and other Asian countries which have had a chance to show their support) can pull together and do something special in her name, because we love and support her (and on a larger scale, show how us fans can get together to support those we care about, be it Gomaki, other H!P artists, or J-artists in general).

The official day of this gathering has been set for April 12th, but various locations can hold it on a different day depending on peoples availability. The website has information on how to set up a gathering in your city. Unfortunately, I already know that I won’t be able to participate in the festivities, but this sounds like a lot of fun. Note that April 12th is also the same day as Hitomi Yoshizawa and Airi Suzuki’s birthday, so this gathering will have even more to celebrate on that day.

Tanaka Reina 5th Solo PB - Girl

Drifoy at the Tanakachii Mosque (aka 100% Wonkyfied) has gotten ahold of a few snaps from the Wonky-Eyed Sex Bomb’s new photobook Girl. Suffice it to say that the book’s title brings to mind the Beatles’ classic Rubber Soul track (with its’ heavy sighs and “tit-tit-tit” backing chorus) the photobook shares its title with, while the photos bring up both Urge Overkill’s rendition of a certain Neil Diamond tune and the usual Stooges lyric from the first verse of “Trollin’” that has been coming to mind every time I’ve seen a new picture of Her Royal Hotness over the past several months…

A wistful Takitty-centric fan fiction (or story written by a fan about a fictional character, series, or celebrity) by Shizuka Junko. It focuses on Ai’s new leadership position, and feelings of loneliness. It also works well as a commentary on her public persona and leadership. I’m not much of a Takitty fan, but I enjoyed this!

In his second post of the day at the Tanakachii Mosque (aka 100% Wonkyfied to you mere mortals), Drifoy states the obvious regarding the Wonky-Eyed Sex Bomb, and provides a download of the video to load into your iPod for your next Reina hajj. I think if she isn’t as prominent on the next single and video, Drifoy and I will have to put a fatwa out on Naoki Yamazaki.

Over at the LJ community hellopro_fanart, keiohwai posts up a picture he drew of GAM in their “Thanks!” outfits. It looks a lot like the girls if they were anime characters. They even have sexy legs!

Olivia Lufkin Online

A very comprehensive fan site for Olivia Lufkin aka OLIVIA. And English version and a Japanese edition both exist. There is a biography, a listing of her discography with all of her song lyrics, a gallery of pictures from music videos, lives, etc., as well as pictures Olivia has drawn. Downloads of her TV performances, PVs, and other multimedia are there as well. It’s great for existing Olivia fans such as myself, but if you are not, you can watch the videos and see what she is like.

A great YoMako site, with fan fiction and a photo gallery of the girls. One of the fics also has Ishiyosi and YoMiki. The fic is really well done and in character. It’s short-although there is ten chapters in the first one, each chapter is only about one page long. The picture gallery is also cute. Though the site’s not updated anymore, it’s still pretty good for all who like H!P femmeslash (like myself! XD) Enjoy ^^

“Miki Fujimoto Web - A Mikitty Download Resource” has lots of media, audio, and stuff about Mikitty. I have visited this site many times. It also has a forum.

Craig shares an undated (and not very well identified by the original YouTube poster) clip of three of his beloved Berryz Koubou that captures Risako Sugaya and Miyabi Natsuyaki missing a cue from band leader Saki Shimuzu during a live radio appearance. Hopefully, as bandleader, Saki won’t have to resort to James Brown-esque monetary fines in the future!

RIO: Reina Information Overload

Drifoy of 100% Wonkyfied gives his point of view on recent speculation (from both the Official Reina Thread at JPH!P and at Hello! Blog) over Reina Tanaka’s health, defending Her Royal Hotness as being “naturally skinny” and adding “When there are news of the girls passing out and stuff on concerts and rehearsals, that is the time we need to worry.” He also has a little fun with a particular shirt Reina has been seen wearing in the past that seems to have foreshadowed her Shoujo R and Alo! Hello PB layouts.

Drifoy has three new wallpapers of MoMusu’s Reina Tanaka up at his Tanakachii-centric blog 100% Wonkyfied. He also throws in some observations on how he never paid as much attention to one member of a girl group as he does to Her Royal Hotness, or as YODC’s Langdon often puts it, “Do you see what Reina can do to a man?”

(Hm, there’s quite a few lines that Iggy Pop sings in the first verse of “Trollin’” on the Stooges’ new album that would accurately describe the Reina fascination many of us share, especially the one line where Iggy mentions how his, um, junior Iguana “is turning into a tree”…)

Eggcellent - How do you like your eggs?

Eggcellent is the first English-language fansite for the Hello! Project Eggs. Aside from C-ute’s Kanna, Biyuuden’s Yui, and more recently THE Possible, it’s difficult to find much information on the Eggs. This site, however, has small profiles on all of the Hello! Project Eggs, including ages, pictures, and information on what they’ve been doing since they joined H!P. It’s a great resource for information on these H!P members who most of us know little about.
