It has been a long time coming, but I am absolutely in love with a Morning Musume song once again!! When Naichau Kamo came out in February, I was so excited for it was Morning Musume’s first release that I had gotten really excited about since Kanashimi Twilight back in 2007. When their 39th single was announced, I was hoping for another good one, particularly since this was likely going to be their last release before they came to LA for Anime Expo, but I definitely wasn’t expecting to get this release.

The girls look gorgeous on this cover! I totally got this LE version (was it A or B? I can’t remember XD) for it.
Midori over at Midori’s J-pop Overanalyzations posted a survey asking about people’s musical preferences. I have to admit that the reason I was so excited to do this survey was for the last question… I LOVE MUSICALS!!! <3
Anyway, here are my answers! Enjoy! ^_^
Gender: Female
Approximate age: 21-30
1. What was the first pop song you remember liking?
The first pop song I liked completely of my own choosing (meaning having no influence from my parents, and not from watching Kids Incorporated - thus being current music) was Ace of Base’s “The Sign”. It released in North America in 1994, and I remember when I first heard people talking about the song at recess, I was completely against it. Don’t ask me why, ’cause I have absolutely no idea.

It’s time for another installation of Wota Wonderings. Volume 4 was delayed by a month due to my brother being swamped with finals for school, but it’s better late than never, right?
The question posed this month is:
Hoping we’re not all shallow wotas, imagine your favourite idol (or musical personality) switched bodies with someone you don’t find “visually pleasing”, would it affect your love for that idol in any way/shape/form?
Hey everyone! Sorry for the infrequent updating on here, and on my worship blogs. There are a lot of things going on for me at the moment. International Wota is currently screening applicants who want to join the IW staff, so interviews and application reviewing is taking up a lot of time. In addition there are some new things being planned for IW, so please look forward to some changes in the near future.
The weekend has just ended for me, but I wanted to wish all the mothers out there a very happy mother’s day! I had a lovely day spent with family as we celebrated our mothers, aunts and grandmothers.
I’ve been a bad, lazy blogger recently, which has put my concert review on the backburner. I originally watched this concert on April 15th, and I’m just posting this review today, May 1st. -_-; As with my usual concert reviews, I’ve gone over every song – some with more detailed thoughts than others. Also, as per usual, some songs were commented on during my first watch through, while others which I couldn’t quite articulate what I was thinking at the time (seeing as I originally watched this concert until 2 am, and I was dead tired by the end – I just refused to sleep before finishing the concert) were commented on in subsequent watches.
And so without further ado, here is my review of the Hello! Project 2009 Winter Hello! Pro Award ‘09 Concert, AKA Elder Club’s graduation concert. T__T <3
In my 3rd Wota Wonderings post, I mentioned having recently gotten into Angela Aki thanks to モーニングBerryz.
In the few months that I’ve been listening to Angela, I have slowly started to build my Angela Aki collection. I have her latest album, ANSWER, and the one previous to that, TODAY. I also have her single “Kokoro no Senshi” because one of the b-sides is her version of “Eyes on Me” which was obviously a “must-get” for me. XD

My current Angela Aki collection
Well, I originally did my top 10 rankings before March 31st. I had also planned to get this ranking up before Elder Club graduated…. I obviously failed at that. XD But… Without further ado, here is my top 10 of Hello! Project, pre-Elder Club graduation!!
Anyone shocked with the results?! I know I was… though really only with the 10th member… Allow me to walk through my ranking with you all.
Over the past few weeks, many bloggers have been doing their rankings for the 3 main Hello! Project groups. I had been waiting for the 2009 version of Hello!Blog’s H!P poll ’cause I’m a lazy bum, and I really like the graphic that comes along with Paul’s poll results. However, this year, Paul has done things a little differently and instead of a group ranking poll, he has done a top 10 of Hello! Project poll, seeing as Elder Club graduated on March 31st.
So, I though I’d take a look at my member rankings and see how they compared to last year`s, and then after that I’d do my top 10 ranking. I took the group photos from Paul’s poll for this year for my rankings.
So, let`s start with the ranking with the least amount of changes, C-ute:

My C-ute rankings for 2009.
A lot can happen in a year, and this past year has definitely been filled with unexpected surprises. It’s amazing that today marks International Wota’s 2nd anniversary. So first and foremost, I want to say HAPPY CAKE DAY IW!!! <3

The H!P girls are back to celebrate IW’s Cake Day! ^_^
For this special occassion, my brother, johpan (of boylikesmusic), and I baked a special cake for IW.

This month’s topic:
The music industry has had many tie-ins with animes and doramas. Of those tie-ins, did one manage to capture your interest and get you hooked on their music? Or, did one manage to change your perspective of a musical act?
As a 2nd part, did you end up watching the anime or dorama in its entirety or give up once the musical act’s tie-in ceased?
And for you non-anime/dorama watchers, have there been any CM tie-ins that had a similar effect on you?
