Well, who would have thunk it? fields of maiZe and berryZ has hit 100 posts. I noticed after posting my last Anime Expo post that I was at 99, and I wanted my 100th to have my framed Morning Musume autographs in the post. However, I had a few things I wanted to write up in the meanwhile and I didn't think I could wait 2 weeks before that... Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I was wrong, and I haven't written anything since that post, and my frame was finally completed by the Michael's framing people yesterday!! Sooooooo... *drumroll*
It has been a long time coming, but I am absolutely in love with a Morning Musume song once again!! When Naichau Kamo came out in February, I was so excited for it was Morning Musume's first release that I had gotten really excited about since Kanashimi Twilight back in 2007. When their 39th single was announced, I was hoping for another good one, particularly since this was likely going to be their last release before they came to LA for Anime Expo, but I definitely wasn't expecting to get this release.
The girls look gorgeous on this cover! I totally got this LE version (was it A or B? I can't remember XD) for it.

It's time for another installation of Wota Wonderings. Volume 4 was delayed by a month due to my brother being swamped with finals for school, but it's better late than never, right?
The question posed this month is:
Hoping we're not all shallow wotas, imagine your favourite idol (or musical personality) switched bodies with someone you don't find "visually pleasing", would it affect your love for that ...
I've been a bad, lazy blogger recently, which has put my concert review on the backburner. I originally watched this concert on April 15th, and I'm just posting this review today, May 1st. -_-; As with my usual concert reviews, I’ve gone over every song – some with more detailed thoughts than others. Also, as per usual, some songs were commented on during my first watch through, while others which I couldn’t quite articulate what I was thinking at the time (seeing as I originally watched this concert until 2 am, and I was dead tired by the end – I just refused to sleep before finishing the concert) were commented on in subsequent watches.
And so without further ado, here is my review of the Hello! Project 2009 Winter Hello! Pro Award '09 Concert, AKA Elder Club's graduation concert. T__T ...

This month's topic:
The music industry has had many tie-ins with animes and doramas. Of those tie-ins, did one manage to capture your interest and get you hooked on their music? Or, did one manage to change your perspective of a musical act?
As a 2nd part, did you end up watching the anime or dorama in its entirety or give up once the musical act's ...
A few hours ago, the sole 7th gen member of Morning Musume, Kusumi Koharu, graduated from the longest stable line up that Morning Musume has ever had. I realize that many blogs are commemorating this date with various pic spam posts and goodbye messages.
While she was never a favourite member of mine, she was definitely an interesting character and Morning Musume will have a different feel to it as it always does after a member graduates. So, I thought in order to commemorate the enjoyment she brought to me during her tenure with Morning Musume, I’d just post these two videos from Music Fighter appearances in the past year or so. Koharu was definitely a member that could get me laughing.
A new snippet in just a little over a month! Go me! I actually still have another snippet I want to post that’s ready to go, but I haven’t gotten around to writing it up yet. However, this evening as I was wandering around my harddrives, I stumbled upon this episode of Hello! Morning from 2004.
To lead into this snippet, you must first watch this clip from the Okajo Dumbest Member test to refresh your memory on our loveable subleader’s wonderful geography skills:
Wow… 2 years. Can you believe it’s been two years since this blog began? I definitely can’t.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, I went out and got some cake for Cake Day! ^_^ And seeing as I’ve been getting loads of Aichan and Risa merchandise recently, Leader and Sub-leader came to join in on the celebration!
If you can’t figure out what I was doing… The tiramisu is the mouth and the 2 cupcakes are eyes… As I was searching for cake and saw the half tiramisu, my brother was like “Get some cupcakes and use them as eyes so it can be a salute to Nine Smile or something”. … So there you go! XD
I don’t do many gets posts on my blog, but I am just so happy with my latest shipment from Hello!Store USA which is just so full of Lovely Beans that I couldn’t help myself. XD
So, let’s pretend you (the reader) have never been to the fields before… Who knows, maybe you haven’t and this really is your first time visiting. There a very difficult pop quiz-like question at the end of this gets post, so study the gets very hard now….. I’m telling you, this question is going to be super difficult. XD
A month and 6 days after Leader’s birthday, it’s Sub-Leader’s turn! That’s right. Today (it’s already Oct 20th in Japan), Morning Musume’s Sub-Leader, Niigaki Risa turns 21! It’s not a milestone over in Japan, but the next time Morning Musume heads to the US, she’ll be able to go out drinking with Ai-chan (and by then Eri as well, I’m sure), if their schedules allow for it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RISA!!! <3
So, similarly to Ai-chan’s birthday post, I’ve got Risa’s 100% Interview, from just shortly after she joined up with Morning Musume. She was such a cutie back then!! (Although, if you went back in time and talked to my 17/18-year old self, I definitely wouldn’t have been squeeing about Mame-chan yet. XD)
It’s been quite some time since my last snippet, but I was wandering around some old blog posts, and I noticed that way back in Memorable Snippets: Part 4 I had promised some people more clips of Morning Musume doing these Musix! Fights. I didn’t realize that so many people had never seen these clips before…
I didn’t really have an “appropriate” photo for this post, but I guess any 10-nin Momusu photo should work, right? ^_^
If you don’t know the premise, and didn’t feel like clicking on that link above, here’s the general gist of it:
[These are] old [clips], I’m not even quite sure what year. Morning Musume had this segment called “Musix Fight!” where two members would go up against each other trying to create a sound on a musical instrument. I’m also not exactly sure where this aired, but this little series of clips was gold.
Basically, these are all the clips of these Musix Fights that I have, so I’ll get right into it and share them with you guys! Hope you enjoy.
Wow, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’m nearing the 2 year mark on this blog and this is the first time I get to blog about a change within the Morning Musume line up… I think that may be why I’m in such shock over this.
I hadn’t really been thinking about who would graduate from Morning Musume next. I obviously saw all the talk about who would be graduating next, but personally, I didn’t bother thinking about who would or should graduate next. Through my years as a Morning Musume fan, I never liked thinking about who would graduate next as I found that even when it was announced to be a member I wasn’t hugely a fan of, there was always this hole it group left after their departure.
Today is the leader of Morning Musume, Takahashi Ai’s, 23rd birthday! I actually have to hurry downtown to see a movie at the Toronto Film Festival, but I wanted to get a post up for her birthday.
To celebrate, I thought I’d put up an interview done soon after she joined with Morning Musume. I checked my H!P DVDs and found that I had all the members interviews EXCEPT Ai-chan’s… Go figure. So, I’m linking to this youtube video instead.
