Memorable Snippets: Part 2 - Matsuura Aya “Ayaya Knows”
This week’s installment of Memorable Snippets features none other than my favourite Hello! Project artist, Matsuura Aya.
This clip comes from her Concert Tour 2003 Haru ~Matsu Ring PINK~ during the encore.
What is it about this clip that tickles my fancy so? Well, I absolutely adore how Ayaya is able to take it all in stride. She doesn’t freak out. Instead she puts on a big smile and smacks her head as though she can knock the lyrics out of the clutches of the evil forgetful monster in her head and back into the functioning part of her memory.
The thing about being a solo act is that in random moments such as these where the words just fly from your mind, there’s no one there to bail you out. However, I think she recovers quite nicely.
As a special treat for the second week of this series, I have a second clip for you all. This clip is somewhat of a follow up to the first one. This is another cute moment of Ayaya at her next concert tour, Matsuura Aya Concert Tour 2003 Aki ~Ayaya Hit Parade!~, and whenever I see this clip, I always take this as Ayaya’s way of making absolutely certain that she would not forget the lyrics again. It’s cleverly disguised as a “let’s teach the fans the dance” MC segment. XD
I also love the part at around the 1:30 mark where Ayaya starts singing in the wrong key. It’s just wonerfully adorable! How can you not love Ayaya?

awww, bless her for fogetting her lines to begin with. A great recovery by, well, just smiling and laughing with it all.
I’m enjoying the voice a lot on the second clip.

@wu-san: I know what you mean. Aya is just sooooo adorable in both the clips. Her vocals are much better in the second clip, but then again, the first clip is from the encore of the concert, so she’s already been singing and running around on stage for about an hour and a half in the first one.
For the second clip, “Doko ni key dake?” (I think that’s what she says… XD) Just soooo much love for that!! XD

I still need to watch this, anyways maize, you would probably check your blog in Mexico so i might as well say this now.
I think im developing some minor love for aya…it’ll probably increase when you get back ahhahaha.
